so where are people coming from to see Paulie...seen a couple are coming from mainland Europe and some from the States and of course...our neighbours across the boarder (boo ), wonder what type of a crowd we are gonna get.
I'm coming from Rio de Janeiro!! I'm pretty anxious tho.. I decided this last Sunday (9th) so I had to look for tickets and all that (including plane tickets, hostels, work vacations..!!) within one week. Now it's all settled but I'm still a bit scared about not receiving the tickets. I bought them on getmein.com! Has anyone ever bought tickets there? I wanted a pretty good ticket and I'm used to the prices of tickets in Rio, so I didn't even find it that expensive. The thing is, I bought them on getmein.com because I don't really know any of these websites and this one looked more serious to me as they are ticketmaster's partner. What I thought was a bit weird tho is that they say the row of the tickets thet're selling. How come they already know the row if you can't choose the row when you buy the tickets directly on ticketmaster or ticketsoup and, from what I've heard, no one has received their tickets yet? I'm just trying to belive the informations are all true... but I'm also really anxious cuz this is actually too good to be true!!
GetMeIn looks like it is a legitimate site - it is a partner of Ticketmaster - but you are buying from a third-party seller, not Ticketmaster. So the concert promoter will dispatch the tickets to your seller and then the seller has to dispatch the tickets to you. To ensure that your tickets don't get delayed in international mail, if I was you I would give GetMeIn your UK hotel address and get the tickets sent there rather than to your home address. Make sure you tell your hotel to look out for a letter under your name so that they will save it for you if it arrives before you are in the UK. It is OK that the seller is telling you the row/seat number - tickets bought direct from Paul McCartney's website let you know the exact seat number when you bought. Ticketmaster doesn't give you the exact seat number.

im not suprised he hasnt sold out in glasgow to be honest. his general reputation is not what it should be either in the UK in general or indeed scotland. the fact of who he is and the amount of time since his last scottish gig should really have ment the sold out signs went up alot quicker. much lesser artist have sold out no problem there and much much quicker. strange one really.

To an American, this is honestly, utterly shocking to hear.

BUT... be prepared that GetMeIn will/can not change the shipping-address. I know there are people who wanted to change the address the tix will be send to but that the seller did not want to change it. Or couldn't change it.

I'm in the UK and it surprises me, I must say. However, I don't think it is just Paul that isn't selling tickets. There don't seem to be many big stadium-type shows occurring in the UK this summer, and the ones that are taking place aren't sold out either. Plus, there are still tickets left for festivals like the Isle of Wight, when normally you'd expect these to sell out. I definitely do think the state of the economy over here has had an impact on ticket sales, and maybe Paul's promoters haven't priced the tickets right to guarantee a sellout. And looking at what tickets are left for sale via Ticketmaster etc, I would assume that this Hampden gig is getting close to a sellout. It's just the seats at the very edge of the pitch or the sides of the stands that haven't sold - these should probably have been offered at a lower price right from the start because you're getting a restricted view of the stage.

It must be befuddling: The same country that elected Obama also turned a blind eye to two stolen elections by Bush II. Sorry... ...had to take it "there" for a brief bit.

Ok, thanks a LOT for the replies! It makes me feel safer. I've already talked to the people from the hotel in Glasgow and I've put their address as the shipping address.. So I think it's all good. And yea, I was told what the row was, but not the seat number. Thanks!

I'm only coming from South Queensferry, just out side Edinburgh. Decided to take the car with 3 others and go early to ensure a good parking space. My friend went to a concert at Hampden and the diversions were crazy. They took her into the city and she wanted to go in the oposite direction but had no choice. Do we know what time the start is? and what a bout a support band? Any info. anyone? Can't wait. Hope the Ash problem doesn't stop anyone getting here for the concert.

I don't know anything about Hampden but I was warned for traffic jams before/after the gig (I walk over there so no problem for me ). Some sites say doors open at 4, some say they open at 4.30. Which is funny since usually the soundcheck is at 5..... No support act announced yet. If there's gonna be one. I rather have Paul playing an extra hour I hope the band is gonna be able to fly back from Mexico. For those of you on Facebook, I started an Up And Coming Glasgow page there.

http://www.ticketsoup.com/EventSeatBlock.aspx?Sys=ENTA Although the pitch seats are selling healthily, the above link to Ticketsoup is quite worrying. It seems that there's still LOADS of seats to be had in the stands and for there to be so many seats still available, I just hope it's not gonna be embarrassing, with masses of empty seats dotted around the stadium. Sir Paul deserves a better turn out than this and it's about time you miserable Jocks dug deep in your pockets and showed that your legendary tight-arsed ways can be disproven as an unjustified stereotype I'm not sure how the ticket sales are going for Cardiff and Hyde Park either, but they surely can't be any worse than this. Miserable $@***%&£!! The only way this show would sell out is if Paul was supported by a complimentary drinks bar! Shame on you Scotland

I'm only teasing I'm sure the good folk of Scotland are planning a last minute stampede to the box offices of Hampden and various internet outlets to prove us all wrong :
