Paul, Hampden Park, Glasgow, 20th June - ARCHIVE
-
Paul McCartney is not yet back in Glasgow but Revolver is back. They will be at Maggie Mays tomorrow (sorry for the late advert but I received Maggie Mays' mail only today). They were already at Maggie Mays the day before Macca's gig at Hampden. Revolver is a very good Beatles tribute band. Edit : I forgot a very important detail : they are Scottish
-
I'm not trying to say something is going to happen since they're all in NY. I'm just wondering what they're doing there. Brian visiting London at the end of Jan in the blistering cold was more suspicious

Don't rub it in Jean . I so wish I could be there Oh well. Will most likely see them again in Aug/Sept. Still going to Australia Jean? Doesn't look like Paul is gonna be there, does it?

I suppose that my daughter wouldn't appreciate if I don't go to see her because Paul doesn't tour in Australia So I think I will go there at the latest in August during my summer holidays but that would jeopardize my presence at the Beatles week in Liverpool.

I believe we beat France home and away in that campaign but yes you would think so wouldn't you (we wont discuss our track record with The Netherlands) ops:

I have no idea what the track record is. And how often they played each other. In the 80's we had a good team (with a.o. Van Basten and Gullit), then we went downhill for a while, last couple of years we're doing pretty damn good again.

Thanks for the reminder I remember when Scotland won with a superb James McFadden strike harking back to the Archie Gemmil goal in the late 70's (thats before my time its just shown alot up here ) The hope we had for the 2nd leg in Holland was tremendous, but then we got crushed.Never expected to beat Holland but when we did it was beautiful, made it all the worse to lose so badly in the end
