Looking At Her

Who loves this jam?
I think its very sweet, a couple great sections of melody, an acoustic guitar solo smoothe as butter, sick production.. I love the little 8th note tick tick tick tick that starts behind the final verse, and love the techno sounding off-beat break down in the darker losing my mind parts. such vintage McCartney pop song. and like this whole album, I think the lyrics are strong. trying to catch the sun on the water.. great verses. -
Love how it goes from one style to another and back. I've heard all the songs already, but can't wait to get the CD to hear them "in order" one right after the other!

Totally agree nancy, the change up in sound really works for me to alter the mood in this song. I love that outrageous sound! And the other parts are gorgeous. I've had those tracks on my iPod now for maybe a week, running order does work well, puts everything in context a little bit and despite the 4 different producers on it, they do achieve a certain flow with it. 11/15 is the official delivery date for the LP! You got on ordered Nancy?

With Appreciate it's my least favourite on the album. I find Looking For Her a bit limp apart from the middle section and dull.

Well that is fair enough Boyce, it's always good to hear opinions on both sides. Cool pic I posted of the sun on the water though right? Lol go on, try to catch it So anyone else think Looking At Her is flaccid? Er, limp? or maybe a semi? Lol freaking sickos

I find this one the weakest track on the album but it might be a grower. It has the same sentiment as See Your Sunshine.

But not as good of a bassline another one I really like there! I'm a sucker for Paul's perfect little love song ditties, especially when they're splashed with a little abstract art.

Admittedly I've only heard this twice and I feel it might grow. I actually like See Your Sunshine, though it seems reviled everywhere..

It may be reviled lisa, but you must remember... the vast majority of people? Complete musical idiots.

It's superb, was stuck in my head all night at work last night (which is bloody frustrating!)

You mean 10/15! I just pre-ordered the reg. CD at FYE (they were SOLD OUT of the deluxe) and got the glowing cube already. Then my son who works at Target will get me the deluxe exclusive that has the bonus tracks and the DVD. Can't wait!

I'm up to 14/15 as of yesterday! Only missing Life Of A Party Girl. It's all child's play until the vinyl though, yet that I believe will only have 12! But that's fine .

Totally with you Stu! I think Paul recorded the vocal in 1996, that would be my expert fanzine opinion. Kidding
