All right, we have all seen the message from @MarshallArts earlier today on twitter, so it can no longer be considered a rumour: "ANNOUNCEMENT: Sir @PaulMcCartney will be bringing his 'Out There' world tour to Brazil for 3 nights! Stay tuned for more info on Monday!"
We know the names of those three cities and the dates of the concerts, so I guess it's okay to start a thread for each concert now. Once they are officially confirmed on Monday I'll add the word "CONFIRMED" to the title of the thread. This is the thread for the second concert of Paul's "OUT THERE!" tour! Here is an image of the stadium: And this news report gives a lot of details about the concert: http://www.diarioanapolis.com/?p=2797 The big surprise is that apparently there will be chairs on the field, which did not happen in previous tours. Let's wait and see. -
Chairs with marked seats on the field? That would be AWESOME!

I hope so, it would be a relief! We would be able to use the bathroom and not lose our spots, what a luxury!

I highly disapprove this idea. Who buys Pista Prime wants to be near Paul, and gets tô the stadium really early - like I always do, 7am I'm already on line. I prefer the 'who gets earlier gets the better spot' concept.

That's what I have always done (get there early and wait), but it would be nice to get a reserved chair at least once. There would be no need to get in line, you would know your seat from the moment you bought your ticket.

Kills the atmosphere though. And you have to be lucky in the ticket lottery to be anywhere near the bigwigs in the first rows. General admission is for the fans.

The newspaper says a source in the production team mentioned chairs on the field, but I don't know how reliable that info is. I'll be happy with whatever decision they make this time, after so many rumours about the concert happening or not.

But the tickets gets way more expensive. The nearest lines will cost 800, 900 reais, instead of the usual 700.

Maybe not. Last year in Uruguay the reserved seats cost half the price of Florianópolis, which had no seats as usual. And the distance from the stage was the same.

Maybe that's because the Uruguayan money is cheaper than Brazilian money, and the concert in Florianópolis had no student ticket sale...

I have found a hotel just 400 meters away from the stadium. I can go and return by walking just a few minutes! And here is a local newspaper article about the announcement: http://www.opopular.com.br/editorias/magazine/quinta-feira-come%C3%A7a-a-venda-de-ingressos-para-o-show-de-paul-mccartney-1.297929?ref=bbd

Another news report, mentioning that the stage will start being assembled 10 days before the concert, 52.000 tickets will be available, no money from the government will be used, and it shows the governor telling the national producer that if the Rolling Stones want to perform there next year he will do everything possible to make it happen:
By the way, the remaining tickets for this concert will be offered tonight at midnight, local time. -
