I'm wondering if they meant to say "a tribute to..." rather than "attributed." Either project (a tribute album or a new Wings-compilation) would be intriguing.

I'd actually prefer a tribute album, to be honest. We already have a Wings "best of". In reality, though, anything that re-introduces Wings to the world would be nice. Might signal a "minty fresh" setlist, as well.
(I'm in an optimistic mood, so let me keep my delusions. :lol

"Maybe I'm Amazed" is not even a Wings song. Yet Paul and Wings did perform it during the 70's and it was on Wings Over America but its originally McCartney song that appeared on Paul's first solo album and that was before Wings.

Either that or they mistakenly put MIA instead of WIA. OR another possibility is the release of MIA that week as a 7 inch that'd tie in to the WOA reissue since Record Store day is that week (April 16th)

I don't think Paul himself even cares, when he had the song Too Many People in his concert setlists he introduced the song by saying "this ones for the Wings fans" which makes no sense because that song is from RAM which is a Paul and Linda McCartney credited album.

My guess is that they are releasing the '76 live version of Maybe I'm Amazed on Record Store Day as part of the promotion for Wings Over America. They did something similar with RAM, didn't they? I know it says album and not single but that could be a mistake.

Maybe I'm Amazed is a great song but it makes for a lousy album title. I think the original news items has got a bit muddled along the way.

In a previous life many years ago I suggested a title of a McCartney Tribute Album being "Familiar Rythyms in A Different Style" its a line from his Lonely Road song. Anyone like this title??

If it is the tribute album that Chris reminded us all about, Maybe I'm Amazed could mean, "Wow, Paul and Wings have done so many good songs. Maybe I'm amazed by them all!"
