and why couldn't this have been allowed to stay? It is a gorgeous pic of Paul & Nancy. But now you must clic on it... http://images.mirror.co.uk/upl/m4/oct2011/4/1/image-1-714762163.jpg
Simply because, at 600+ by 300+ pixels it exceeds our forum guideline of 300 by 300 pixels for hosted images. Sadly, large images confound the viewability of these pages on dial-up services. As a major international artist his fortunes are followed in many areas that do not have broadband internet. And presenting data rich pages with animated avatars, large images etc can make this board unreadable in such areas. And that is unfair on members in such locations. Martin

I just hope they won't get married at John's birthday. I wouldn't like that and that's just my personal opinion.
Well, it very much looks like they are going to. Really, what exactly is the problem with getting married on John`s birthday?
As I said it is just my personal opinion. I hope I am allowed to have one.
You are certainly allowed to have a personal opinion. But it would be interesting if you gave a reason for it.
-
I knew that but have been seeing numerous pics all over the site. No I have not checked sizes but I will. I just thought since it was approaching the wedding day such a beautiful pic could have been left in.

It's a feeling I have. One can't always rationally explain one's feelings. So I won't even try.

Seriously, can you please say what is wrong with the wedding on John's birthday? A birthday, I mean what is it? The day you were born, it happens every year. And sometimes important things fall on people's birthdays.

Perhaps I am wrong, but it seems like you are adressing me. I don't think there is anything wrong with a wedding at John's birthday. I just don't like it. That's my feeling. You have other feelings about it and that's okay with me. You don't need to explain or defend it as far as I am concerned. We can just agree to differ about it. It's no big deal.

A joyous occasion on this date. I don't see a problem. But whatever Paul does someone has a problem. I see people mentioning that he shouldn't marry at all. etc. Just wish them well, or don't wish them anything. In our real lives would we tell someone the date is bad, or they are wrong for getting married (at least I hope we wouldn't). Getting married is a big deal for the families involved. I lot goes into it, including choosing a date. I wish them nothing but happiness, privacy and good health for many years to come.

Exactly. All that matters is it`s right for Paul and Nancy. Really, it`s not for us to comment. But-a party on John`s birthday! Is that a problem? Maybe it means that Paul will be more likely to remember his wedding anniversary!

Exactly Doris. It's a day to celebrate

Exactly. And today, Saturday, would not be the date as it is Yom Kippur and Nancy's family is Jewish. It is the holiest day, a day of atonement, and so it would not be on Saturday. And in fact, Paul and Nancy went to Synagogue tonight to a Break the Fast service: http://tv.yahoo.com/news/paul-mccartney-spent-final-night-single-man-175131345.html It's also a good weekend for those coming from the states, as Nancy's son probably would be, as it is the Columbus Day holiday long weekend in the US (well for some people, not me!) and it gives folks going back to the US an extra day to recover. And there is nothing wrong with getting married on John's birthday. John would probably say, "good on ya mate!"

yes I think John would have loved to be Paul's Best Man! but Mayby Ringo will step in their, or Mike?? I can't think of a Better Day, than to have it that day! I think it is soo Loving that Paul is Honoring John by having this Marriage Ceremony on John's Birthday! that is Our Sweet and Loving Paul! always thinking of "OTHERS" other than himself! he is our "TRUE KNIGHT" in all his Shining Glorious Honor and Compassion! Nancy it So Blessed to have Paul! and Vise Versa! a Splendid Evening For Romance in the Dark, under the Big Bright Moon! it would seam! hope someone gets a Photo of them dancing in the Moonlight! maybe not for everyone to see, but just them!!!
-
Wonder if Ringo has been invited...
-
ooops: P.S> I forgot to say, a "Sillowett" (sp?) time Exposure Shot of Paul and Nancy in the Moonlight Dancing. that they can Treasure forever! now would not that be so very Special????????????
-
Tomorrow is my 2 year wedding anniversary - and Paul's wedding day! I always did a double celebration (John's bday, my wedding), now it will be mine and Paul's anniversary on the same day, too!
-
If Paul had decided to marry on December the 8th the anniversary of John's murder it would have been distasteful, but his birthday, not a problem at all. Paul should be able to marry when he wants without fans getting their knickers in a twist over the date.

Well, Ringo and Barb were at a party on Friday night that Paul and Nancy were at. The party was said to be for Stella's birthday and took place in Notting Hill where Stella lives. So yeah, I think Ringo will be invited... Press reports are saying Mike will stand up for Paul, and that Bea is going to be the only Bridesmaid. Who knows if that is true or not. I can't remember, who stood up for Paul at his last wedding? And Boycie, I agree with you on the date and your sentiment. Of course there are some fans getting their knickers in a twist just because he is getting married again. Not me, I wish him loads of happiness!
