The "Paul Forgot The Lyrics" Thread

W.D. Stevens:
I know I'm reviving an old thread but it used to be one of my favourites and I've just come across a lovely one.
Around 6:20, the second verse, total flub but he shrugs it off adorably. And there's a great shot of Brian having a cheeky smile. It puts them in a bit of a silly mood because they nearly crack up later in the song.Haha, adorably indeed! Oh, the times a bad vocal performance could be dismissed as "a cold" or "an off day"... Actually, the ever overly political correct band members never said one bad word about their boss or their performances, but Brian Ray said about this performance when it had its re-run year after year: "I wish they'd pull it!" (
"if I'm true I'll never leave/and if I do I know the way there" becomes something like "and if I do, [I know to be]/and never see I know the way there". -
Found this Youtube video - I knew about a couple of the examples (the 'Mind the Gap' thing down in Tampa FL and having to restart Maybe I'm Amazed down in Texas)....but a number of these are new to me

He was lucky he didn't break a hip in that fall from the stairs! Now he never jumps off the side, and he always walks all the way down the steps!

Here's the complete explanation and video of him falling onto the piano. Thank God he saved the Hofner!
