im actually quite worried about him at the grammys next week.singing live without his big fat band behind him.
Which, of course, he does for a large part of his live show.

I know what lazy means, I often get quite nervous for Paul on his recent tv performances like X Factor, Later..., SNL etc as often it shows off his declining voice more - the smaller audiences, the shorter sets - his voice does not have time to really get going. It lays him a little bare and I don't want the chance for the press and public to seize on it. Fingers crossed too.
Fingers crossed three.

Well, if the MOY and WOY didn't get some special powers, it would have been a travesty!

Just a shame that we couldn't put our powers to good uses! Like body time travel maybe?

I'm a bit nervous about the grammy's too. Especially if he has no instrument to hold onto. Blimey I have butterflies... ops:

i've always wondered how is he able to remember all these lyrics ,it's not easy people, for me it would be imposible!when i try to learn a song and record it in my home i'm always anxious cause i'm afraid i will forget the lyrics and i only have to record 1 song without the pressure of any public!
He uses a teleprompter. Well, a teleprompter is part of his set -- not sure how often he uses it. He definitely relied on it when "Nineteen Hundred And Eighty-Five" was added to the setlist last year.
what is teleprompter???

Have you seen the version of For No One in St Petersburg in 2004? The sun's either shining in Paul's face or on the teleprompter and he just can't see it. You can see him really leaning over and squinting to try and see but it's just not happening. The whole performance is a massive balls up lyric wise! lol Can't find it on youtube though. Tut EDIT: Ah, I know I uploaded it somewhere. Here's the video http://www.myspace.com/smokeytown/videos/video/866058#avpCommentsTop (from about 6.27)

I don't have a You Tube link but I saw him many of his concerts in 1989/1990 and more often than not, he'd flub the lyrics to My Brave Face. I don't think he used a teleprompter in those days, unlike now - you would think it would be easier to get the words right these days but he still messes them up LOL. However, these are the little things that make it interesting and as Paul has said when he makes a mistake at a show, at least you know we're playing live!
I remember My Brave Face being a big challenge for him on that tour too. If we had seats near the front we would shake our heads at him that he got it wrong and he would make a face or just laugh. Yep, LIVE indeed! No lip sync job there...(cough cough Madonna superbowl...)

I can't find video of this, but I recall Paul mentioning during an interview that he had been doing his obligatory, "All right _______________(fill in the name of the city here), we are here to rock you!" bit, and he said the name of the wrong city. I think the crowd's response was to laugh, and that the reviews said he hadn't lost his Beatles cheekiness and humor, playing with the crowd by naming the wrong city, lol. They thought it was intentional, for humor's sake, while Paul had honestly flubbed the city name. Gotta love our Paul.
I don't remember which city he was in; I think it was the 1990 tour, but he thought he was in Pittsburgh if I remember it right... He said something like "PEOPLE OF PITTSBURGH....YOU ARE NOT!"

So Macca flubbed The Long And Winding Road last night in Detroit. Unreal (in the funniest way), he started off singing "The Long and winding road, that the rain...... toooo your door. Here's the link:
The long and winding road That the rain washed away Gives the song a whole new meaning.
He could have sung that at my house after Hurricane Irene last year where the rain DID wash away the road!
