WINGS FUN CLUB - recollections?
-
I just saw a bunch on ebay & looks like he wants $17-18 ea.
-
The first 20 or 30 issues are harder to find on ebay, but you will see the others all the time.
-
Someone is selling the first 40 & then the 2nd 44 or so. I forgot the quantities. It was $750.00 for each group.
-
Yes, I have seen those auctions. Good luck to that seller! Here are the pictures: Sometimes you get lucky and find someone who wants to sell a bunch for a reasonable price. It's always cheaper to buy issues from a single seller, as you can save on postage.
-
A fan paid one hundred bucks on eBay for just one of mine which featured a pic of Linda McCartney's brother and there was some more special stuff in that one, can't recall what exactly I wonder how often Paul plays Wings albums. When he does he must think "Wow we really rocked out on those, they're super" (?). Seems he would think something along those lines
-
100 dollars for a single issue? That's got to be a record.
-
Peeps are really money mad when it comes to holding auctions for Club Sandwich & related items.
-
I still have all of my Issues, and I'd never sell them. My Kids get them when I die. Along with my McCartney Collection. I cannot imagine letting go of my Club Sandwiches.
-
How much was it to be a member of the Fun Club?
-
I paid $13.00 (USD) A Year.Like-Paul needed the Money lol- it was worth it !

I have just won these 6 issues of Wings Fan Club newsletters on ebay. How many more were published?
-
Many moons ago, I bought a satin Wings Fun Club jacket for a song, 'cos I knew someone who was selling off their entire Beatles/Macca collection as they were in desperate need for $$$$ to pay off their bills. I bought the entire collection for peanuts.
-
I'm so happy that I still have all of my issues.I'd never sell them.

From memory, you appear to have the first 6 'booklet' style newsletters covering the period autumn 1973 to late 1974. There were about another 4 of these 'booklets', issued during 1975/1976 , the series coming to an end in 1977 when the 'Club Sandwich' newsletters began. Prior to the 'booklets',there were several newsletters which were printed on A4 sized paper. These were typed, contained no photos and varied in sheet numbers.
-
Kept all my membership cards & have them in scrapbooks. Some years they were blue & others red.

Remembering the first time I saw the teeny blip on the back of Red Rose Speedway announcing the club.

I have just purchased the item in the picture below. Is it one of the 1975 booklets that you have mentioned? ![](http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Paul-McCartney-Wings-Official-Fun-Club-Booklet-No-1-1975-/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjg1/$(KGrHqZ,!pwFCs9PmHpVBQt(34,guQ~~60_1.JPG)
