Fans over 50?

Does this sound familiar, "LET IT BE ME "
"it says..as if" 1:49~ John Lennon RIP -
Philly had, if I remember correctly, two rock stations. I spent a lot of time switching back and forth between them trying to hear a Beatles song when I should have been doing homework.

Anyone else remember the plastic figures that could be painted?

I had the Paul one and I started it but never finished it. I'm sure it went in the trash along with all of my other Beatles stuff when I went off to college. Mom only kept my LPs and 45s and my sister laid claim to the Beatles ones and I had to get mom to intervene to get them back.

While I'm not personally over 50, my father is 52 and has been a Beatles/Paul fan from the beginning. My first experience with Paul was sitting in my Dad's study as a kid and listening to him play the Flaming Pie album while he payed taxes. To this day, that is still one of my all-time favorite albums. Joe

YES! I looked for the Paul one...but all they had was Ringo, so I got that one and I did finsh it but I did a terrible job of it, sorry Ringo!

I must admit...I can't help but think when I hear "Helter Skelter" of the horrific murders in the late 60's That is the big difference in generations...the younger ones don't remember that...but I still do!! RIP~Sharon Tate and all the others

The one Philly station, wasn't that 93.3 WMMR or something? Did you go to that small theater in Philly or Bryn Mawr...can't remember the name...saw Little Feat there...lots of bands there actually. Always think I would love to see Paul play Fireman type music at a place like that.

I used to play Beatles with my friends. I was ALWAYS Paul . We ran around the church grounds across the street and pretended we were in "A Hard Days Night." We sat on the floor of the movie theater for AHDN, because the seats were filled. I was only nine, but when Paul first appeared on screen,I KNEW I was in total and complete love forever and ever.

A memory that will last as long as I live! In my case, I was 13 when the beatles first came into the spotlight. And all the girls had a crush on "the cute one" but I had a special claim on Paul, I was born on his 9th birthday! It was as if I didn't quite believe that he was a real person until he walked up to the edge of the stage and smiled my way! I froze like a deer caught in the headlights, I wasn't sure what todo, so I just stood there in shock! SORRY PAUL!! ops:
Liverpoolbride, hello. I'm over 50 too and it's great! Back in 1966 (after a couple of years of trying) I got within 30 feet of the Beatles. I was perfectly calm until Paul started walking towards us girls, then much to my surprise, I started to faint!! ops: . I remember his walk, with each step he took towards us I felt worse ops: He was turned back by Epstein, I think, and I was immediately OK. How weird is that?? I still can't figure it out but I thought you might like the story.

Does anyone still have copies of their old 16 magazines with the Beatles? I have quite a few saved... especially the ones with Paul... I used to cut out his pictures and put them on my closet door, along with the other Beatles... How about watching American Bandstand, Hullabaloo & Shindig on TV? Loved to go to the CYO dances. Does anyone remember a line dance for the song Hang on Sloopy? Nanorama...you were so lucky to get to see the Beatles back then!!! Thanks for sharing your story

CYO dances Wow, haven't heard anyone mention those since I don't know when! "I go back so far I'm in front of me"

I remember those One in particular..... for some reason beer was served and since one of my friends was 18 he got a pitcher of beer for our table. Well he got a little drunk and decided to drink out of the pitcher instead of a glass : He was escorted out
