Fans over 50?

I'm 50 and don't remember when there wasn't The Beatles. Since age 4 I have been a fan. Saw Paul this summer for the first time. Wish it could have worked out sooner. All those wasted years!

Opportunities aren't the problem...it's that I'm having some health issues that would make it hard/ impossible to go to these shows (traveling)!! And I'm no longer "with a little luck" Now I'm "In the middle of something" If it is the song "SOMETHING" I wouldn't mind being in the middle of that~

I am so sorry about your health issues - I didn't know.

I'm over 50 and proud of it since our own beloved Paul is too over 50!! So those who don't want to come on this thread 'cause you think it will embarrass you...think of Paul, he isn't too embarrassed to go on stage and he's 68!!
-
we should be PROUD of it, and we will NOT compete with the youngsters, either!!!

Liverpoolbride...where are you? You haven't been around for awhile : This was her last post here...on aug 20... I was there and his supenders were a light grey...I think, not real sure since my veiw was very limited...someone say they would have the jumbotro but all we had was a smaller scene to the side...like watching t.v. big whoop!! No details...I'm giving up...I'm burned out...and my bank acc. is flatlined!! I just can't afford to be a Paul McCartney fan! I had a life altering moment in Pittsburgh and I can't live like this anymore...I wish all you webbies luck and happiness!! _________________

Say....all you that have gone to one or more of the shows this tour, How did you do? At our age it isn't always as easy as it use to be and do you think the venue makes a difference?
No, it isn't as easy as it used to be 20 years ago when I started following Paul around. Yes, the venues do make a difference. I heard in Pittsburgh the escalators weren't working. I wasn't there, but that would have been rough. I have learned my lessons about standing only and outdoor arenas and won't be doing those again. I can no longer stand for the entire show and unless I have a very good seat at an outdoor arena, it's not worth doing as I learned in San Francisco. Expensive lesson. Phoenix, Denver and Nashville were fantastic.

I will turn 60 in the fall. I can't believe it.
-
I turned 56 in May! Aren't you all glad we were around for it all though? I don't know about you guys, but I've been a Beatles/Paul fan since Dec. '63!
-
I too, am over 50, and have been a fan since tne beginning. I saved my 25 cent a week allowance towards buying 45 rpms, and LPs of the Beatles. I STILL HAVE THEM. Paul has not aged! Well, yes he has, but his love of music and performing is unparalleled. He is young at heart, and never ceases to amaze me at his concerts.

I have been a fan since the beginning and we finally got to see Paul last year. I love both old and new music (U2 coming up in two weeks), and love going to concerts. If the band and the experience warrant it we usually do the floor. Green Day was more of a seat experience, The Who a definite floor every time. I will be 61 in September.
