Have you met Paul? And how?

I have a very interesting story about how I met Paul McCartney, share us with your stories! September 24 2008, one day before the show in Tel Aviv, I got back from swimming lesson and we pass near the park that the concert will take place in, in a little bit more that 24 hours. I asked my father to stop for a moment and go to see the place before the big day, I don?t know what I was thinking but I was lucky that I asked that. We found where to park the car in a near gas station and started to walk, me, my father and my 4 years old sister. Everything was still preparing for the big day, we hoped no one will ask us to leave. We reached really close, near the ticket checking gate, a man was standing there, he was the producer of the show or something like that, I asked him in innocence ?Is Paul McCartney here??, ?He should arrive any minute? he replied, me and my father was look at each other in excitement, ?He will rehearse here tonight? the man said. A few minutes later, it was turning out that the place that we standing is where he will enter with the car, although it was quite late for a little kid as I was, but we decided to stay, of course. I found a piece of paper and a pen. We sat beside security personnel and waited for Paul to come. The guards laughed at me all time, ?why do you think that Paul McCartney will stop for a little kid that stand in his way??, they said it again and again. After a half an hour we saw a convoy of police cars entering and a black big car in the middle, I was so exciting!!! I jumped beside the road and waved with the paper, when the black car was passed near me, a familiar face was waving to me from the front seat of the car, you can guess who it was! The convoy continued and disappeared. A few minutes later the soundcheck begin, ?Hello Goodbye? was played, ?See? He doesn?t want to meet you? the guards said, my sister has already fallen asleep on a chair beside us. I insist to stay, I believed that when he will get out I?ll have another chance to meet him. Anyway, we decided to stay. I don?t remember the soundcheck too much, I just remember that I really had fun. Then came the big moment, the police convoy was making their way out, and the black car in between, the familiar face moved to sit on the back seat, I jumped and waved to Paul again, suddenly we hear a voice saying ?stop the car, stop the car?, the car was stopped and the window was opened, and I, without thinking too much, moved to the other side of the road, came to Paul and gave him the piece of paper, he signed on it, ?Rock ?N Roll, see you, shalom (hello in Hebrew)? Paul said to me, everyone was shocked, my little sister was waking up and start to cry, she didn?t noticed that we were moved to the other side of the road, Paul turned around to her and ask ?why are you crying? Why are you crying?", at the moment I wasn?t sure that my father took a picture, so I turned back to Paul, and as a non-English speaker 8 years old boy, I shouted ?Paul! Paul!? and made a movement of taking a picture, ?C?mon, quick picture", Â he said, my father took a picture, ?see you tomorrow? we said, ?see you?. The car started to move, we all was shocked. ^ Nice story and just goes to show a little perseverance & patience can go a long way.
I haven't strictly met Paul as such but we did exchange 'hello's' once. That was during the making of the 'Take It Away' video and Paul,Linda,Ringo & Barbara were returning from a lunch break and were walking into the back of the studio and I just said 'hello' as they passed. Paul said 'oh hello' and Linda said 'hi' and Ringo ignored me and Barbara gave me a big smile. -

Yahllil, I enjoyed reading that. I wasn't a bit surprised. The Brown Eyed Handsome Man is in love with his amazing career, and a little in love with everyone he perceives loves it too and will reach out in various ways. He's not stuck up. He loves being a big star in a good way, not a haughty aloof "I'm better than you are" way.

I have never met Paul but my second cousin did. I hope ti is okay to share this story. He was working in a recording studio in New York as an engineer how to cut sound out. Paul was there was James was working on his album. My cousin said he positioned himself so Paul would walk past him. They weren't allowed to take picture or ask for autographs since it would be unprofessional. He said Paul so nice and will ask you qeustions about yourself such as what college he went to or what instruments he played. I hate to say this but he said James was not very nice and ignored everybody. I said he may have been shy but he said no by the way he acted and he slammed the door behind him rather than close it.

I was lucky enough to meet Paul twice when he did some book signings in NYC. Once in June of 2001 and then in October of 2005. Both times it was such a thrill to actually look him in the eye and talk to him. And he shook my hand both times. Even though it is a brief encounter Paul really makes you feel like he is focusing on you and what you are saying. The first time I was so nervous that I could barely talk. I burst into tears as soon as I left the area where he was. I had waited over 40 years and never thought I would meet him.

Wow, I just had a dream this morning that I met him... He was wearing a white dress shirt and a navy blue jumper. I was walking down the hall in an inn that I had been to last October, with some friends. I recognized him in the hallway and when I walked up to say hello, and when he looked at me, I woke up!! It seemed so real...
