Just not Bip Bop please. Even Paul thinks that one was crap.

Lennon thought "Sgt. Pepper" was crap. Well, "Bip Bop" is a fun little ditty to me. "Nod Your Head" must represent the continuation of this 'style' of songwriting. He hasn't lost his sense of humor.

The charts aren't really a venue for real musicians and songwriters anymore. Those that do chart go for the cheap-jack emotion and the lump in the throat - even the most underwhelming dirge is treated as a power ballad because they make it about the singer rather than the song; whereas, back in the day, it was about both.

I think the charts are slightly unbalanced or what to call it. Wilco... such a great band, with great catchy songs, but they have never had a hit single in the 2000's. They are supposedly the Indie scene, where all the weirdos (like me) are, those who listen to Alternative Music... an Alternative to Music, ha-ha. Joanna Newsom, Fleet Foxes... some of my favorites in recent years.

If you make music for the music, it shouldn't matter what the teenagers are downloading. If you make music for the money, you should go into banking.
