Oh well, that's another contribution by Paul to global warming.
I know, right? He sure flies around a lot!
Doesn't he fly commercial (first class of course) from London to NYC and vice versa? The plane was flying anyway. It's not like it made a special trip just for him!
I know, and its because every passenger has that attitude (the jet isn't flying just for them), we have air travel and the accompanying pollution. Perhaps Paul will follow the example of Coldplay?
What does Coldplay do? I agree with everything else you said though Kestrel.
They toured a lot or at least they did. They are now stopping touring because of concern over what damage they are doing to the environment.
Just an FYI, Virgin Atlantic has a notice in their front pocket magazine, that you can pay off your carbon footprint for your flight, by sending in a carbon fee, which is then used to plant trees or some other suitable repair. One reason I like to support their airline. They also collect loose change and use that money to help children around the world.
Ways to offset your carbon footprint
https://blogs.ei.columbia.edu/2018/12/27/35-ways-reduce-carbon-footprint/
We are flying Virgin Atlantic to England next August! I checked out that link and discovered I'm already doing a lot of those things!
Virgin Atlantic deserves top marks in a lot of categories... going to print out that list and post it in my kitchen. It's a good list.

I wonder if at any time during the day Paul thought to himself, 'Blimey, it was 58 years ago today I was at the Decca audition'?
Probably not !!

I honestly don't think he cares. He also doesn't care if he "misremembers" something. Like on the visit to his Liverpool boyhood home, James Corden asked him how old he was was he left there. He said "Oh, 18, 19, 20?" Well it was actually 21 Paul! (When he moved to London, first with the other Beatles in that apt. on Green St., then he moved in with the Ashers in the latter part of 1963)

On the front cover of Magical Mystery Tours-My Life With The Beatles by Tony Bramwell with Rosemary Kingsland, there's an endorsement by Paul where he's written 'If you want to know anything about the Beatles, ask Tony Bramwell. He remembers more than I do."
I think Paul just naturally accepts that people who have researched and studied his past, know more about his history than he does.

What's ironic about that is that there are a ton of errors in that book. When I first met Tony on a Beatles cruise and went to get his autograph on the book I was asking him the meaning of something he wrote (British word or phrase) and I subtly mentioned that there were a "couple" errors. "Oh, that's the publisher's fault!" he says. RIGHT Tony!

How do you subtly mention to an author that he made a "couple" of errors? LOL

I just said "Hey, Tony, there are a couple of mistakes in there." and he just brushed it off by blaming it on the publishers! I didn't say anything more. He was so drunk most of the time on that cruise! When we filled out an evaluation of the Beatles entertainment, we said we didn't want him back (and he was not on subsequent cruises!) He did get invited to AROTR the next year and I ran into him walking around the park alone. I just remembered I actually first met him in 2005 at a Beatles convention! He was sober then and gave an intimate talk (small group) with Q&A. The cruise he was on was in 2012.

They get their marriage date correct (Oct. 9, 2011), then say "his wife of 11 years!" The Daily Mail must not use proofreaders!

I got in on the presale last April - it sold out in less than a week! If you've never gone before on one of the cruises, you have to jump in right after the presale and commit to it almost a year in advance. People while still on the 2019 cruise could sign up for the 2020 and keep their same cabin if they wanted. I went in 2018, but not 2019, so I lost my cabin, but got the one right next door to it.
