Echo Arena, Liverpool - 28 May 2015 - ARCHIVE

Spent the past hour and a half refreshing both Echo Arena website and Ticketmaster to no avail only to randomly get a fantastic ticket in section B out of nowhere just there. Absolutely over the moon, can't believe it happened. To those of you who didn't get one, please keep trying!! Don't give up yet

From which site, may I ask?

I took the plunge and bought tickets through a reseller. My wallet took a big hit but only live once!
-
Had no luck with tickets for Liverpool, having also missed out on the VIP package. However, I'll try nearer showtime and see if I can get something.
-
Allowing people to buy 8 tickets prompts some folk to but extra and sell. Them on to cover the cost of there own tickets
-
As people cards decline the odd tickets are being released

Well, ticket drama over. Called Event Travel today and they didn't want me to transfer tickets (which I was going to sell to friends for cost) so they just refunded me instead. Either way, I'm happy to have it over. Was quick as well, seconds after the call it was posted to my paypal. I wound up with 5 pairs of Hot Sound tickets but not on purpose. Website trouble screwed me while it was telling me transaction could not be made, try again..It was actually charging me. Got the CC ones wiped off that day and finally got the extra paypal charge done today! So there's 8 more VIP's that should be back in the ticket pool. Good luck to everyone!!! P.S. rumor from a friend in the UK that a 2nd O2 show may be added
-
whoops, not rumor..didn't bother reading the main page...an extra London show has been added.
-
Bob, your spare tickets have already sold! I rang up trying to buy one and they're already gone again.
-
If anyone is desperate, there are some tickets still available on AXS.com! I tried in the presale and at 10am today and was offered a few things but nothing worth the £140 price tag....until half 10, on my last try on Ticketmaster, I got Block 3 which will do me fine! See you all in May

I have contacted CrowdSurge and told them that I will not be in Brazil anymore by the time (7-10 days before the concert) they send my ticket in the mail. Here is their reply: "We can now confirm that your ticket will be sent directly to the venue for you to collect on the night of the show after the venue doors open". That's good enough for me, as it is a numbered seat. What about you folks who bought a ticket either from the Echo Arena website or from Ticketmaster UK: are you only allowed to collect it once the venue doors have been opened as well?

I was given that option, and if not, you could probably make them do that for you, yes.

Thank you for the info. Did you choose to have your ticket sent by mail or will you pick it up once the doors have been opened? When I asked them whether it would be possible for me to pick my ticket up before the doors have been opened (either on the day of the concert or on the day before), this was their reply: "Usually the tickets sent to the venue are collected by customers on the night of the show. However, we can request information about your options to pick them up from the venue before that point. We suggest you contact us 2 weeks before the show (all tickets should have been dispatched by then) so we can find out for you".

There are still tickets here - but only the £125 ones, the seats aren't great, but I just bought 2 http://www.axs.com/events/273144/paul-mccartney-tickets

That sounds reasonable. With seated gigs I wouldn't worry too much about box office pickup anyway.

Absolutely. I'm concerned about Amsterdam, which is general audience. If I'm not allowed to get my ticket before the doors have opened, I will be one of the last people to enter the venue and I will be at the back of the floor. That's why I'm thinking of buying a reserved seat, even though it's not on the floor. However, if they offer the option to print the ticket at home, no problem. But what about Paris: general audience or reserved seats on the floor? I'll ask about in the Paris thread.

I got lucky I tried Liverpool 5 times this morning and couldn't get through, couldn't wait any longer as I was at work, also tried their website no joy, then at 1pm I decided to phone,I asked the woman on the phone I bet the tickets for Paul McCartney have all sold out?,she replied straight away,I was about to hang up and she said I've just been told we have 3 left which is exactly what I wanted,I was that excited I think she thought I was going to propose.

Don't be concerned. If you think the box office won't open in time, buy the ticket during the general sale on Friday, and chose the e-ticket option. Also, even if you get your ticket after the doors has opened there's no way you will be very far back, as much that is possible in such a venue anyway. People don't tend to get to the venue much sooner than show time over here. I remember from other events at Ziggo Dome that the box office will be open hours and hours before the doors open, but I can't promise you this will be the case for the Paul McCartney show. Try Tweeting the venue @ZiggoDome, the organisator @MojoConcerts and ticket agency @Ticketmaster_NL in once with your question, maybe they will respond in time for the pre-sale. If not, buy on Friday morning if you really want to be sure to get an e-ticket. Paris, Marseille, pre-sale tomorrow and zero information, baffling.

So are you guys who are coming from abroad making a mini-holiday to Liverpool out of the show or are you just coming for the gig and leaving the next day?
