Hi, it's "Scrrruffy" -- hope you had a nice walk with yer puppy! I've calmed down now , though I'm likely to go back to hysterics if I watch Steve Riks again! Glad you liked the Big Star track -- it's one of my favorite songs ever and I love its string quartet arrangement.

Thank you fo this. Great to see. Was Mike filming do you think? He didn't seem to be in any of the pictures? Nice to see Paul with his relatives, especially his Dad. Denny Laine and Gerry Marsden were there too!

That pub scene is my favorite part of the James Paul McCartney special. Thanks for posting. I loved seeing Aunties Gin and Mil and Dad Jim also. Does anyone know which pub this was filmed in (looks like the word "Ferry" on the marquee) and whether it's still in operation? Sing along now : "Though April showers May come your way, They bring the flowers That bloom in May; And if it's raining, Have no regrets; Because, it isn't raining rain, you know, It's raining violets. And when you see clouds Upon the hill, You soon will see crowds Of daffodils; So keep on looking for the bluebird, And listening for his song, Whenever April showers come along."

Hey TB, this is the best I could track down regarding your query above. We would certainly need a long-time Liverpudlian to give us an update to whatever became of the place. From http://www.geocities.com/helenwheels_99/jamespaulmccartney.html "6) "Chelsea Ranch": introduced by a voice-over by Paul, this part of the programme features a McCartney family and friends get-together at the Chelsea Ranch public house near Liverpool. Those present include Paul's father Jim, who is seen giving Paul money to help pay towards the drinks, plus Paul's Auntie Gin, Auntie Dilys and fellow Liverpudlian sixties musician Gerry Marsden, along with Paul's brother Mike (McGear) McCartney."
