          That's alright, Paul paid Johnny back a little when he was a guest on his show in '84!

                At one point in the pot bust monologue, Carson calls Paul by the name of McCarthey.

                The 1984 interview is hilarious but I get the sense that Carson did not really appreciate or understand Paul. Paul delivers some great lines in the 1984 interview in response to Johnny's question. At one point, Johnny asks Paul, "do you still write your own music?"
