The new songs were the highlights for me. And that was point, right?

Live and Let Die went down very well. Great way to end it. Hard to tell how that audience was taking it in, they all seem on the very young side and look sort of lost on some of the numbers.
Agreed. They didn't seem to come alive until Lady Madonna. By the time Live and Let Die came around Paul and Abe were entertaining themselves, what with Abe making faces, Paul trying not to laugh.
i think the fireworks woke everyone up

He now removed that post thank you. The new songs were very strong. Everybody out there has a little "Mrs. Vanderbilt in it I love the 12 string and I thought "New" sounded even stronger live. What a great melody-)

Anyone got a link?

Also, love that they gave it their all and still looked like they were having fun despite the dead audience.
People have always complained about the audiences at this festival. People noticed how dead the audience was for Aerosmith's set last year.

Magical Mystery Tour (bass) - bass work was awesome on this one Save Us (Bass) - really liked this one. Balls out rocker, nice vocals Let Me Roll It/Foxy Lade (Guitar) Everybody Out There (12 string) - liked Save us better but this is good as well. Really interested to hear the studio version of this. Some neat musical things in it. Another day (12 string) New (electric piano) - excellent version -hate that they left off the coda though - my fav part of the song. Excellent harmonies Lady Madonna (electric piano) Live and Let Die (grand piano) - fantastic pyro - really well shot. Could really sense the pyro and lasers. Excellent short set with 3 new songs. The mix on this was really good for taped shows - often times they have the vocal too high and the bass too low in the mix. Not tonight. Very strong performance. A touch of strain here and there, but overall really well sung and played. RamblinRed

I wasn't expecting a great crowd since most attendees were radio contest winners (I also watched some sets yesterday and nothing's changed since then of course . I just love that Paul and the band were having fun simply being up there, even without an energetic audience to get them going.

And for those who ask for more "solo" material...tonight was 75% solo, 25% Beatles.

Yep! Doesn't he realize that he looks like a four-year-old in that shirt? That shirt is at least two years old!

Actually, it was 25% Beatles, 25% Wings and 50% solo -- which suits me just fine.

Admittedly, I got scared with the MMT opening, but it turned out to be a fresh lil' set.

25% Beatles. 75% post-Beatles.

Agreed! They performed at an arena I worked at and luckily he was wearing a suit with not a single stripe.

"Save Us" has Back To The Egg written all over it. I'm liking it!
