Finally! I've been saying he should play there, for years! (Did you notice the errors in the announcement: "Paul McCartney has just added a Prudential Center stop to his One on One Tour. It will be his first show in New Jersey in 10 years, and Prudential Center will be his very first stop for the tour in the northeast region!" Did they forget about last August?)

I'm happy he's playing an arena this time rather than a stadium, but I've only seen one concert at "The Rock", from a "nosebleed" seat, and, wow, is that place steep! Maybe it's just me getting old, but some of these newer arenas seem too steep; makes it hard to enjoy the show from a "cheaper" seat, if you're experiencing acrophobia! (I have read that many people don't develop acrophobia until late in life, and that seems to be true for me! Didn't used to bother me.) Hoping the lower seats won't be too expensive!

I just posted in the Rumors thread. Perhaps Paul will perform "Freedom" or in some other way acknowledge 9/11 since this concert is on 9/11.

Newark ticket price range: $34.50 to $355, plus fees.

After trying for almost 3 hours, I finally managed to score a decent ticket during the presale. No luck for MSG or Brooklyn though...

Can't say I am a fan of the new price structure but he held those prices since 2002 so I guess it was inevitable $250.00 (Before fees) doesn't go as far as it used to Especially now with the new dates, I would expect if you wait until close enough to show time you will get in for under face with no problem. I bought a pair in the first level for Sept 11, after the sticker shock wore off I am very glad to be going, will be my 30th time seeing him and this will make 10 years in a row which I think is kind of cool (dating back to Highline Ballroom 2007)

Definite sticker shock! I got tix in the AmEx presale, but yesterday I made the mistake of checking the regular sale, and placed another order. I spent all day trying to decide which ones to keep, and worrying about getting stuck with the extra ones. I just took a chance and called Ticketmaster and was pleasantly surprised that they cancelled one order for me. Whew! But now I just wonder whether I gave up the right one!

Do people feel it is disrespectful of Paul to do a concert on 9/11? I was going to attend the 9/11 concert and asked my boss for the following day off. When I told her I was going to Paul's concert she went into a rant about how it was disgusting that he would do a concert on this date and disrespectful to America. How do people feel? I ended up exchanging my ticket for the 12th because it's not worth my work life to have her feeling the way she does

I may not be American but I don't think it is. If you're going to rule out doing things like concerts on that basis, you're not going to have any days left.

_________________________________________ I think your boss is being ridiculous too. Besides the fact that it is 16 years ago, Paul did a lot for the families of the victims. After all, he was one of the chief organizers of the subsequent Concert that raised a lot of money. Once he got behind it, many stars, comedians, actors followed suit. How is the upcoming concert on the same date being disrespectful. I'm sure he will talk about the anniversary during the concert and praise so many of the people. Also keep in mind there were a good number of non-Americans (not the terrorists of course) who also lost their lives. As far as Paul doing "Freedom" I doubt it. There was some controversy about the song being somewhat pro-war. I don't agree with that premise but I don't think Paul wants to bring the subject back up. I would love if he did add another song from his massive catalog that relates in some way to 9/11. I really look forward to this leg of the tour. If there is any chance for Paul adding a new song or two (even old ones to refresh this setlist), this is the time it could happen.

Thanks B J Conlee for your feedback. Glad you share my opinion. I agree that Paul did a lot for the families affected by 9/11 and that he spearheaded the concert for NY and lending his name became a magnet for other top stars to get on board. Plus I remember reading that he and Heather visited fire stations as well to show their support. I don't question Paul's intentions at all - I'm sure he is the last person to disrespect what happened in NY on 9/11.

Yeah, that's the worst part, the misuse of power. Anyway, I can't judge this since I'm not American. I do know that over here the only unforgivable faux pas would be an event during the 2 minutes of silence at WWII Memorial Day. I would say if anything, McCartney will provide support on that painful day for New York.

I was literally across the street from the WTC on 9/11 2001 - and I'm flying in on 9/11 for the concert. I feel like it will be very healing and will only bring loving positive energy to that day. I am so glad he will be doing this concert! When Arianna Grande recently did her show after the terrorist attact in Manchester she said she told everyone to play the hits because that was what Olivia's mom said Olivia (a young woman who died in the attack) would have wanted, and that the show was changed last minute to be joyful and bright. So back to Paul... And not to offend.. But I'm going to party on 9/11! Celebrate life in honor of those who passed. Love and joy win over hate. Paul's music has brought so much joy to so many people. He spreads love and happiness just by being himself and doing what he loves. He is my hero in that way. Everyone will have different opinions on this subject and of course it is a very sensitive subject, especially to families who have lost loved ones. Personally, I feel like all those people who left this world that day just may be there in spirit rocking out with all of us attending!
