I was wondering if Paul is or has considered making a documentary of his 1972 college tour. I know that there are many videos on youtube and other video sites of some of the gigs. Also, If not ONLY on the college gigs at least a documentary of his time in music (maybe by decade) like 1970-1980 and so on. More than anything though I believe the college tour would be fantastic for all of us Macca Heads!

That already exists in the form of the "Wingspan" documentary from 2001.

The university tour wasn't filmed (to my knowledge) although rehearsals at the ICA in London for the tour were. I'd certainly love to see the full rehearsals released on dvd, along with the 'Wings Over Europe' concert footage from that summer. Maybe if Red Rose Speedway gets the deluxe treatment? 🙂

Wembley Empire Pool, London  (Wings) 21st October 1976.

'Take It Away' video shoot Elstree studios, London 23rd June 1982.

'Give My Regards To Broad Street' film premier, London 29th November 1984.

Docklands Arena rehearsal concert, London 5th February 1993.

Run Devil Run launch party, Equinox Club, London 30th September 1999.

          O2 Arena, London 22nd December 2009.

          O2 Arena, London 5th December 2011.

I read Paul didnt even "book" the dates. He literally showed up at the University & asked if he could play a show! I would love to see people's reactions to that caught on film. Paul deserves a big-screen biopic (similar to Brian Wilson's recent biopic) that covers his career from late 1969 through the 1976 World Tour. Fascinating period of Paul's career that many outside of Paul fans are not aware!
