According to this article, session musician Dougie Wright played drums on 'Uncle Albert'. So not Denny Seiwell or even Paul then? http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/music/760312/david-bowie-paul-mccartney-session-drummer-number-one-hits

Wikipedia says Denny Seiwell plays drums on the song. So does the Beatles Bible.

It seems a strange thing for Dougie to get wrong although to be fair he isn't actually quoted as having played on the track in the article. One explanation might be that Paul re-recorded 'Uncle Albert' once back in the UK (there's no evidence that Dougie Wright ever performed any sessions outside of the UK) but that the recording was never released.

Denny Seiwell's participation to RAM is well documented. Furthermore, I interviewed him for my book Paul McCartney: Recording Sessions (1969-2103) and he vividly remembers about it. Clem Cattini plays drums on Thrillington.

Denny was the best drummer Paul ever worked with. Too bad he left after only a few albums.

Small world. I have an uncle who was a drummer, but he wasn't named Albert.

Denny absolutely played on "Uncle Albert". In fact, just this week he was interviewed about it on a podcast and will be doing a clinic on his "Ram" playing at a Beatles convention this March.

I used to spend a lot of time with Denny Seiwell, and indeed, he told me stories about the "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" sessions. Denny also told me a lot of tales about his days with Paul, and much of it flies in the face of most of the history we read about those days. With the exception of some money stuff that PM may have had nothing to do with, nearly everything Denny said was always very positive.
