Those soundcheck packages were very expensive in South America, but if Paul included an autograph I'm sure they would sell out.
They were very expensive here too. In the US my soundcheck was $1500.00 for soundcheck & 4th row for the show.
Ditto, but I paid $1,600 and got 3rd row. Again, totally happy because it worked out very well for me, but still. Yowza, that's expensive!

There were problems with those Hot Sound packages here in Brazil. In one of them there was no soundcheck due to the heavy rain, and in one of the concerts (perhaps the same one?) several people who paid for regular tickets were allowed into the stadium (and got closer to the stage) before the fans who paid for Hot Sound.

I think he should give out signed pics at the soundchecks. Really. Or at least shake everyone's hand. For that kind of money...don't get me wrong I will prolly do it again but geez...a handshake? Is that too much? He does that for book signings.
Doesn't Elton give an autograph for everyone in the 1st row at his shows? Doesn't seem too farfetched for Paul to, as well...
don't know about elton but like I said...Paul does it for the price of a darn book. :
I've only done one soundcheck package, and that worked out for me, but still. Pretty expensive. I'm still paying it off, and it was two years ago.
serious? OMG...that's crazy...still paying it off?
From my credit card, yes. You'd be surprised at how little teachers get paid. Almost gone, though.
you get heath care don't you & only work a partial year? I'm self employed...no benefits at all. Don't get me started on that. THAT is a whole diff topic.

Don't get me started on what I really have to do and what I get paid to do. Oh, and working a partial year is a bit of a joke, as well, as we actually spend time working on our "vacations", too.

Back on topic indeed, but I also get a parting shot. You brought up how easy I have it as a teacher, so I answered. And the topic is about the Premium Member contest (i.e. the mysterious stamped tour book).

nope sorry you brought up teachers & money.

I thought we were getting back to topic? I said I don't get paid a lot, and that the soundcheck was expensive, yes. Both are true. No harm there, right? Edit: And I didn't say I didn't bring that up. What I said was this: "You brought up how easy I have it as a teacher, so I answered. "

nope...no harm. I hope we get a real signature...on a cd or a tour guide.

I'm wondering if "stamped" means a signature imprinted into the tour book or whatever they called it.

I was able to buy an autographed Brian Ray CD at one of Paul's Brazilian concerts for less than $20. Was it sold at US / European concerts too?

Brian did have limited numbers of signed CD's for sale at some of the US shows. He was very good about posting which shows on his FB and Twitter pages.
