I really wanted to see a Paul McCartney and Prince collaboration. I even advocated for it on Twitter. Both of these guys seem to know how to write a love song and I think this collaboration would yield some really great music if Prince would be willing to relinquish some creative control on the music side. Now that it is no longer possible I have two longstanding wishes in regard to Paul McCartney's forthcoming work that I hope to see fulfilled 1. I would like to see Paul McCartney collaborate with George Clinton - 2. I would like to see Paul McCartney collaborate with Bootsy Collins - 3. I would like to see Paul McCartney collaborate with Max Martin In regards to the collaboration with George Clinton - much like above . . but turn the funk up. This would probably require a very upbeat Paul McCartney In regards to the collaboration with Bootsy Collins - both bass players, Bootsy Collins is all about love and funk and I think Paul could find some ideological parallels and Bootsy has a one of kind character to lend to the track. Certainly would have to be something happy and fun In regards to the collaboration with pop superproducer Max Martin - probably the most successful producer and songwriter of the past twenty years. I believe him and Paul are the only songwriters to have #1 records over a 20 year span - a venerated love song writer and I think these two could definitely consolidate on a theme that would yield commercial success. If Paul wants to another #1 record this could be the path. Perhaps collaborating on a whole album together but definitely one with Max Martin as the producer and perhaps another where they write a song together These collaborations would be historic and being that this is Paul McCartney's official message board I have no shame in asking; do any of you have the capability of getting this message to Paul?

I know who George Clinton is (barely) but never heard of the other two guys, sorry. And there is no way to get your message to Paul unless you are perhaps a personal friend of Abe, Rusty, Brian or Nancy. (or Barbara Walters--she's Nancy's cousin!)

Fertilizer. The whole concept reeks of fertilizer.

This is a first! I think the only thing McCartney & Clinton have in common is a love of the smoke 🙂 Actually, the collaboration would make a great Fireman album. Here is Funkadelic's (Clinton is the leader of the band) classic 'Maggot Brain' from 1971. One of the best guitar solos ever. I can see McCartney getting into this:

Rather see Bill Clinton collaborate with Monica. She could blow his saxaphone.

I would like to see him collaborate more w/ some of the up & coming artists; similar to what Carlos Santana has been doing for years.
