Paul McCartney is at the very top of the jazz charts, a big #1 for Kisses On The Bottom!! This man is truly one in a million, a true living legend!! Yet another #1 to add to his post Beatles collection! How this mans career after the Beatles doesn't get the real true credit it deserves is just insane!!

KOTB debuts on the United World Chart at # 5 with global first week sales of 155.000 Adele is # 1 on that chart for a record breaking 33 weeks in total with sales of 369.000 with her album 21 . 21 as sold 17.3 million in just over a year globally , she's on course for 20 million in the next couple of months . KOTB is unlikely to catch 21 with these first week global sales , having said that the album was the 5th best seller in the world last week , which is very good going for a 69 year old

Works for me. And power to Adele! Happy to see a real woman with a real voice movin' units. I hope the industry is taking notice.

She is good isn't she. Loved her performance on the Grammys. It all seems to be going so well for her now...well, until she taks in that grating Essex accent

She has denied that.

Still, it was cute when she realized that her nose was runny during one of her Grammy speeches ("oh..snot!"). To us Americans, almost anything said with an English accent sounds prim and proper.
-
She's back in the studio recording the new James Bond Theme song if that rumour is true . It would be great to hear her along side Live & Let Die on a Bond complilation

With an arm full of Grammys, it not surprising She sounded great.

Some are saying KOTB will eventually be more influential than "A Kind of Blue"

You MUST be joking. In fact, that is such an absurd notion; it doesn't even qualify as sarcasm.

I'm starting to think JoeySmith is doing a bit of trolling here. Between this post and the repeated posts Joey's made saying that KOTB is going to sell more than Band on the Run, I just can't imagine anyone would say either of those things with any degree of seriousness. He's either joking, he's an extreme optimist, or, unlike Paul, JoeySmith hasn't given up the ganga.

...with all-due respect to our Paulie, of course.

the true test will be where KOTB is charting in two or three weeks. hope it is still in the top 10, but I doubt it.
