Raunchy is an old instrumental song, the song have been play by a young George Harrison to convince John Lennon to get him in his band. The song was played by George while they were on a bus! Here a video of Paul and George playing the song during the Beatles reunion for the Anthology documentary:

Wow, Paul doesn't really let George take the spotlight, he makes vocal sounds throughout the song, which is a song that features the guitar. You can really see old relationship dynamics come to the fore and it really presses the point that George would never have participated in a real Beatles reunion. I get the feeling he even was bothered by it in these videos. I don't think Paul can help himself. George was always going to be his "little brother."

George's face all through those songs speaks volumes, doesn't it. He only participated in Anthology because of the bucks. Denis O'Brien and all. I'd love to get a body language expert's take on this stuff!

Shut him up somebody, please! No wonder George wouldn't play anymore.

I'm sure someone can! There were only 20,000 people there!

The Rolling Stones played a 19 song setlist last night in Detroit (including a two song encore) WHILE Paul plays 40 songs with two sets of encores (three songs each). Glad to see things haven't change for the Stones when I saw them last in 1999 while Paul generates enough energy to light up a city block.

Sometimes you guys read waaaaay too much into stuff. Paul is not being rude -- not even in the slightest. He's just jamming and adding to a riff that's, otherwise, pretty monotonous. It results in Ringo picking up on Paul's cue and changing the shuffle to a double-time beat, then Ringo half-timing the grooving to a quintessential Ringo-style drum-beat. And -- to me -- George appears to appreciate it.

I disagree. Paul looks bad, and George even makes a mistake, on purpose towards the beginning, to throw Paul off from what he is doing, because it is throwing him off. George is playing the melody on guitar, and Paul is vocally vamping over it, unnecessarily. Yeah, Paul directs Ringo, who does not need direction from Paul at this point in his career, to double the beat. Gee, it REALLY made it so much more interesting. : It's RAUNCHY, for God's sake! Couldn't he just JAM with his old friends? He knew exactly what he was doing with the camera there. At the end, George's face says it all. "Where are Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton???" There's not too much to read into. It is pretty clear.

What's pretty clear is that you're completely wrong, and I'm totally right.
