Preshow Tracklist

Saw this on RS. Great pre-concert memories coming back! Sitting there during the video scroll before the concert, anxious and on the edge of my seat. Awesome mix.
-
Yeah, this has been going around for a week at least. It is very cool. Hope that Martin will put it in the thread we had on preconcert music. (I can never find threads with this search engine)

I think 'The End' (covered by Booker T and the MGs) is missing from the list...it had been around as part of the pre show track list for a number of years and low and behold, it appeared at Fenway Park this past summer

This is the tracklist of this particular mash-up mix the pre-pre-show (haha) DJ shared. The Booker T-cover is part of the McCartney pre-show, no DJ.

LOL - you're right...by the way, thanks a lot for the link...this is terrific

and it is downloadable. Nice!

Thanks for downloading this - can something this long be burned to cd? Would love to bring this in my car and just cruise around to it

Yep. It automatically downloads as a MP3. So if you can play MP3s in your car...go for it!
-
I know some people don't like Beatle songs being covered and others only like covers that stick close to the original arrangement...but if you're into fresh new interpretations that are done tactfully, then you just have to love the version of Tomorrow Never Knows depicted on this track list
-
I love the pre-show film songs, the standout for me is Esther Phillips' And I Love Him. The only song that makes me wanna puke is Say Say Say along with images of Wacko with Paul.

I just bought myself my first mp4 player (plays mp3s as well) and it comes with a USB cable so I can plug it in in my car ("On My Way To Work") Got it through Deal Chicken for $27!

I had the same question - I did burn it to cd, but it had to be spread across two CDs and the sound quality isn't the same (although Chris Holmes was kind enough to also include a link to a higher quality version and I may toy around with that now that the weekend is here)
-
Ps - the sound quality of the two CDs I burned aren't horrible and will certainly do if all else fails

I tried to find that out, but they didn't print that info. Hopefully it will be enough!

"Say Say Say" gets a bad rap. I'd bet that if The Bee Gees or Phil Collins had recorded it instead, it would've withstood the test of time much more. I think it's a great track. The only way I'd accept Paul performing it live today is if a surprise female-artist joined him onstage for a duet. 'Twould be fun.

I actually didn't too much either way of the song back then...I knew it was a big hit, but not one of my favorites...but I also didn't think it deserved the stigmatism it seems to have garnered over the years...and I think the remixed version played during the pre shows holds up very well in it's place amongst other Paul/Beatle giants

Anyone have the full version of this 2002 pre show? Mostly comprised of Fireman cuts with a few other goodies mixed in
