How are you telling people about "NEW"

SusyLuvsPaul:
Reminds me of being exhorted to go out and spread the word about Jesus, to advance his ministry on earth and tell the good news. Can't tell you how often I've heard things along those lines, and how tired I became of hearing that. Though I guess I shouldn't be. Telling about "New" about great music, being implored about this, well that's something "new" a novelty, was glad to read your supplications Wearing your Beatles jacket makes a good talking point to begin I don't have one.
Yeah--but we all know the Beatles are bigger than Jesus

I just had the chance to plug Paul's album to a stranger when I was driving down Melrose and discovered that a wall that often gets used to advertise albums was covered in a painting of the album cover. (I uploaded a pic to my instagram account at http://www.instagram.com/parlance2 ). As I stopped to take the photo, someone parking his motorcycle asked me if the album was new, if it was good and if it was like his old stuff. And then he said he'd check it out because he lkes him. parlance
GREAT wall pic! Some fun other pics too!

I was at Billy Joel's London show last Tuesday and was talking to a guy who'd been to Paul's last three London shows, but interestingly and commonly he told me he'd not bought a Paul album since Wings Over America back in '76. I did tell him to go out and get NEW as it's one of Paul's best albums since the FABS, but i'm not sure he was convinced It's such a shame this attitude is so common amongst Paul's so called "fans".
I can't imagine being a fan of Paul's and not knowing/being aware/not caring enough/to buy one of his albums since 1976! His major loss. Have heard that Billy Joel's concerts have been great. Hope you had a great time James..
The gig was fantastic Lisa and i was in the 5th row so it was extra brill. Billy's vocals are still in great shape and he has a terrific band with live horns, there's a treat for ya.
Growing up on Long Island and having met Billy Joel several times in bars (Roslyn, NY), I think he is great. That being said, I have often wondered why he does not get any flak for playing the same old hits for many years.

You think he'd ever pull out one of his Attila tracks?

Since Billy said it was absolutely garbage (cleaning the language up - lol), I would say the answer is no - lol. Since he has not made a new pop CD in 20 years, constantly amazes me is that he still is that popular live. I have seen him several times thru the years but would not do it again because I have heard everything he is going to probably play.

i'm talking with my friends and family about this album, my children listen to it with me and my 17 years old son likes it.

If I give someone a ride, I've been playing something from the album. Depending on the amount of time, I always start with "Appreciate" and move on to something else like "Alligator." I've always gotten a positive response, and at least one person said she was going to download "Appreciate" on iTunes. parlance
Paul should've paid the NY Taxicabs to do that! Play a song from the album. So many people take those.

I would've told him that 'hey that's funny - I haven't bought a new Billy Joel album (other than live and greatest hit packages) since Nylon Curtain' and it's true...I own every album from Billy up to that point and no new studio albums since:-)
