My best friend is getting married & I'm writing a speech where I'd like to use a Paul McCartney or Beatles lyric to preface it, as she absolutely adores the music. Does anyone know of any good lyrics or a song that I can get some good lyrics from? Something about growing up & out of your shell to become a stronger, better person. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Blackbird- take these broken wings and learn to fly Coming Up- You want a love to last forever, One that will never fade away, I want to help you with your problem, Stick around, I say. Coming up, coming up, yeah Coming up like a flower if you need a couple of song to play during the party after the wedding you can't go wrong with any of these: -Maybe I'm Amazed -My Love -I saw her standing there -Two of Us hope this helps

To lead a better life I need my love to be here... (Here, There And Everywhere) These are the rest of the lyrics: Here, making each day of the year Changing my life with a wave of her hand Nobody can deny that there's something there There, running my hands through her hair Both of us thinking how good it can be Someone is speaking, but she doesn't know he's there I want her everywhere And if she's beside me I know I need never care But to love her is to need her Everywhere, knowing that love is to share Each one believing that love never dies Watching their eyes and hoping I'm always there I want her everywhere And if she's beside me I know I need never care But to love her is to need her Everywhere, knowing that love is to share Each one believing that love never dies Watching their eyes and hoping I'm always there I will be there, and everywhere Here, there and everywhere

Every single second of our lives We can use to chase the clouds away

"Calico Skies", "This One" and "Magic" could be also used, if you need a good love-song/lyric. Lyrics: Calico Skies http://www.lyricsfreak.com/p/paul+mccartney/calico+skies_20105767.html This One http://www.lyricstime.com/paul-mccartney-this-one-lyrics.html Magic http://www.lyricsfreak.com/p/paul+mccartney/magic_20105623.html

Personally, I'd pick "Why Don't We Do It In the Road?", but then, I'm a sicko.

                dance-tonight:

                "Magic"

Not magic! It's got that messy line where he sings 'I'd always regret' blatantly missing the 'it'. That line totally ruins that song for me!

                What was Oklahama like?

You're kidding, right? The lyrics to "Magic" are perfect. Adding "it" at the end of that line adds no meaning and would screw up the rhyme and the meter. Yikes.

He's rhyming 'met' with 'regret' that's why he doesn't add 'it' BTW, I assume he wrote that about Heather, but the lyrics could describe his initial meeting with Linda.
