For years, I've been fascinated by Paul's belief that he thought Yesterday already existed when he wrote the song. I'm into theoretical science, but NOT into mathematical equations or complicated scientific language (I prefer plain English). And I've had to conclude that Yesterday did exist already. But it was never somebody else's song. It was the result of a time warp ... and came to the Paul of the 1960s from a time after he had written it (maybe a day, maybe years). All time might be like a DVD (since physicists speak of the union of space-time, all space - and everything in it - is naturally part of the DVD too). All of the DVD always exists even though only a very limited set of sights and sounds can be perceived at any point during its playing. Similarly, everything always exists even though we can't physically perceive every one of those things at any particular time. Science?s Law of Conservation has known since the 19th century that neither matter nor energy can ever be destroyed or created - they only change form. Suppose nothing in any time can be destroyed (it only changes form at a different point on the DVD). Then in different parts of the cosmic DVD; people are forever being born, forever taking their first step (are they in perpetual motion in an eternal present?), forever resting in peace, and "Yesterday" has always existed. I believe English physicist Julian Barbour has the same understanding of time which this sentence speaks of (?From Here to Eternity? by Tim Folger | Friday, December 01, 2000 ? from the December 2000 issue of Discover Magazine - http://discovermagazine.com/2000/dec/20-cover#.Usa9NNIW2bs)..) And in the liner notes of his final album, George Harrison included these words from Hindu scripture - "There never was a time when you or I did not exist. Nor will there be any future when we shall cease to be." And in "Instant Karma", John Lennon wrote "Why on earth are you there When you're ev'rywhere" (Did he mean "Why on earth are you seemingly restricted to one tiny segment of the Cosmic DVD When you really occupy the disk's entirety". How could the time travel loved by theoretical physicists come to pass without this "cosmic DVD"? (For anyone who's interested in knowing more about how I arrived at this "cosmic DVD" conclusion, please go to "THE UNIVERSE IN ANOTHER NUTSHELL" (http://viXra.org/abs/1312.0195)) and download the PDF (lower left of screen). PS Can Paul take a leaf out of The Rocky Horror Show's book, and do the Time Warp again?

Just as an added note (if you're interested in these kind of stories from Paul), he mentioned something similar regarding one of the Give My Regards to Broadstreet songs (it was either Not Such A Bad Boy or No Values - can't remember which)...but he heard it in a dream and presumed it was a song that already existed...I think he even specified by the Rolling Stones

I just found something corroborateds the song 'No Values', (re: from a book called 'The Words and Music of Paul McCartney: The Solo Years) as the song I was thinking about in my last post...he dreamed that the Rolling Stones sang it
