      Even as a non-musician, I found this tutorial on You Tube on how to play the lead guitar on 'Band On The Run' totally fascinating.

        I tried some of that on an acoustic guitar and my fingers hurt now...LOL I think I'll stick with strumming a Dmaj7 and G for the beginning and whatever cords are called for there after

          The other thing that's pretty cool involves the guitar licks being played underneath the vocals 'if I ever get out of here, etc....Been reading a lot to help try improve my playing and that seems to be a great example for how important (and often) pentatonic scales are...My guess is that if I can get a good understanding of that, the number of guitar solos I can play will multiply by quite a bit

            I figured it out by ear. The Dmaj7 was easy to figure out, but I felt rather proud when I'd figured out the notes just before the last Dmaj7 when Paul starts singing.
