Watching the James Dean documentary from 2005 titled "Forever Young" (c. 2005 Warner Bros. Entertainment). Opening theme "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart Leading towards the tragic car accident "I Got a Name" by Jim Croce Closing theme "Mull of Kintyre" by Wings.

Can you explain the significance of 'Mull Of Kintyre' in a James Dean documentary? I'm intrigued

I don't know myself. That's a question I wanna ask Paul McCartney. He authorized it. I guess the song was a tribute to James Dean's legacy continues, flowing like a river. Like if the producers of the Dean documentary were authorized to use "The Long and Winding Road."

Maybe the producers misheard the song as 'Mud On My Tyre' and used it because they thought that's what caused the accident?

Seems he was '' of English and Scottish Ancestry, he was a English American and a Scottish American'' So perhaps a Scottish waltz was used along with the other songs you mentioned by English/Scottish/American artists. Just a thought...
