U2 put no effect in what so ever, makein Paul look Pants It goes to show what a great band Paul as on Tour!. Laters performance with Abe,Wix,Brian and Rusty (yummy) is going to be far better!

I htought Bono was so nervous in Sgt. Peppers But U2 were the best yet, apart from Pete Doherty *dies*, as they really were amazing, and put their hearts into it. Im proud to be Irish today

U2's performance of their own songs was great. Very powerful. They're a very cool band, but I thought their performance of Sgt. Pepper was poor. I felt bad for Paul, and thought he needed more energy behind him. Oh well, it's still a great concert, and a great effort, for a critical cause. Shawn.

I heard on BBC radio the song is going to be uploaded somewhere for downloading, sometime in the afternoon. If you hear anything about it, let us know, or I'll post if I hear anything new.

I think Bono was nervous. I suspect that Paul was a hero of his when growing up and anyone would be nervous when playing with a major musical influence such as Paul.

                  They haven't played together before?

I don't think so...certainly not in this format. They would know each other from the original Live Aid but they didn't do a duet as such and doing such an iconic song also.

I agree, Sgt Pepper turned out to be quite a weak start - the song was not the best choice, despite the fitting lyrics. Otherwise, U2 were cool performing their own songs. Can't wait to see Paul at the end!

I downloaded the song a while ago and I actually quite like it. I didn't really enjoy the parts that bono sang, but overall I think it was nice. Maybe it's just me.

No, I don't say it was bad - just not that strong, in my opinion.

63 year old Mccartney showed that he easily is a better singer then Bono. What a great voice he have...and does not at all look like 63...43 maybe....

I thought it was good. I t would have been better if they had led into a song, with Bono taking lead. with a little help from my friends would have been fitting with bono sing it

I've downloaded it and it does sound great. It also felt good to help a little financially. Bono did seem nervous and it would probably have been better with Paul's regular band, but I still like it. Where did you hear it will be on the CD? MTV, as bad as it was, kept saying it would only be available for the download.
