Oh bless, that bit about the Colosseum is beautiful. Thanks. I read the part about the dreams last night - pretty funny!

Here's a link to "The Failures" website - the film that Brian and Abe wrote the music for last year. http://www.thefailuresmovie.com/start.htm If you play the trailer for the movie, you will hear some of Brian's and Abe's music!!! It sounds wonderful!! All the music you hear is Brian and Abe, apart from the very last tune.

It must have been a surreal experience to play there. Isn't the one by the pond gorgeous? I love the band shots on p56 and p17 And the fab one of Paul hugging Brian on p19. There are just so many wonderful moments. Bill is just the biz.

Thanks, Fi. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! The quirky piano tune is brilliant and that guitar bit - is it a bass? Fantastic. I hope we get to hear the whole soundtrack one day. It's just such an exciting time to be a Brian fan! There's new stuff cropping up all over the place! Oooooooo!!!!!

Bill is the biz. The "bull on the wall" - LOL!! P56 and p17, hmmmm? And why is it you like those ones so much??? The one by the pond is beautiful. The one of the band getting a pedicure is still my favourite.

I love it, too. It's so wonderful to finally hear something written and played by Brian Ray. Those two pieces you mentioned stood out for me as well, especially the guitar bit. It does sound like a bass, but I suppose it could be a low guitar. Showing off my music inexpertise yet again! : We need someone like Ina to have a listen.

Yes - that's a good one. Very unexpected when it was first put out. Page 94 is just beautiful. Page 105. Which guitar is that?

I think it's the white discus. Look: First time I've seen a photo of him with that one on stage.

I'm right with you there. I know nothing. ops: But I'm trying to improve. Good idea - Ina will know. The sound clips make the EP an even more exciting prospect, though!

Well spotted, Fi. I think you're right!! I've never seen a pic of him with it onstage either. That pic is The End - didn't he use the Les Paul for that song on the last tour?

Yes he did, and on the BITUS DVD. I wonder what he prefers to use in the studio. Depends on the sounds he's trying to create, I suppose.

Yes, that'd be interesting to know. Well - come 'the early part of the new year' we might have a better idea!

Hi, Di. It's soooo catchy. I've had it in my head all day.

There's a FANTASTIC interview with Brian in the latest issue of PaulMcCartney.fm magazine. It's well worth ordering a copy. He talks a lot about his early career and how he came to work with Etta James. He also talks about how he got to know Rusty and Abe. You can order a copy at http://www.paulmccartney.fm
Thanks for the link Fi! Do we ever get tired of reading about Brian Ray??? No way!!!

Love the piano/bass ditty right from the start. Wonder if Abe and Brian played all the instruments, too?

That'd be very interesting to know. I guess we'll have to be patient until the soundtrack is released.
