Hello to everyone I met last Saturday night. I wish I'd met you guys sooner. You're all so nice!! A special big "THANKS" to Sharon (YoungGerl) for alerting me about the show. WOW! Brian really rocks -- LOUDLY!! And what a classy thing for him to do, in acknowledging his fans (some, by name) during his show. Even classier for him to come over and speak to us afterwards. I'll be a fan for life now. (As if I wasn't already. ) I'm still smiling as I recall the lyrics to "I Liked You Better When I Was Drinking".
Scottcatt!! I enjoyed meeting you last Saturday night!! The night was a blast, wasn't it? Not only the music but getting to meet more board members. Fab time!! We'll have to do it again soon, okay?? Isn't "I Liked You Better When I Was Drinking" a great song? I've been a bit hooked on Soft Machine this time around. He played it first and on the CD, Etta James performs with Brian. Cannot wait to hear it!! Btw....LOVE your avatar!! Sweet kitty with the pope hat.

Oddly enough, Ringo's show at Universal Amphitheatre back in 2003 not only allowed cameras into the show, but they were selling them in the front lobby of the venue!
I saw Ringo during 2003, too and he'd actually stop on stage and strike a pose for audience members with cameras. Too cute!!

Thanks for posting those pictures, they turned out really good. I'm glad all of you had such a great time! I can't wait to hear MM now. I hope one day I get the chance to see a show! My sister-in-law attended a show and she was really impressed!
The show is impressive!! Hope you get the chance to see a show very soon!

you are most welcome...have u recovered from your whirlwind tour of LA?? what else did you do while you were here in the States?
Hi, Sue. Thanks, yes...I am just about recovered. My hours of sleeping are still a bit out of synch but it's ok. What else did I do....well I went to Hollywood [but wasn't discovered...I thought the flat sandals and floppy hat would do the trick, too : ] and saw the stars' footprints and handprints in cement. I thought that was really fun. I went to the beach, but there wasn't much surfing action going on. I had two great tour guides [ ] and saw a lot of the local colour which was just great. The amount of food one receives in a restaurant is mind blowing...what you order is just kind of half the story!!! LA is very diverse in many ways - the people, the scenery...one minute you are driving through a city and then there's palm trees and mountains, then the beach and the ocean....yes - it's quite a place. The best thing, of course, was seeing Brian and being with friends.

I'd like to hear that one again. As that was the first one, I couldn't really take it what I was hearing....it was all a bit . It'll be interesting to see how the live and album versions compare, though.

I've heard them all several times now and can't settle on a favorite! I love "Vinyl," but "I Liked You Better When I Was Drinking" is a fun one! And "Anywhere But Home" has very poignant lyrics. It's right at the top of my list. They are all great songs. Brian is a wonderful lyricist. Once you get past the hard rockin' tunes and settle in to really listen to the words, they are all great little stories! But, the music itself blows me away! Hurry up, November 1st!!!!!

Hot and sunny is something you can usually count on in Southern California in August, Dawn! Especially the sunny part! It can be quite cool on the coast at night, however. Be sure you bring YOUR floppy hat and sandals too! Maybe you'll be discovered! I have the greatest photo of "certain people" in floppy hat, but I've been forbidden to share it with anyone! I promised not to post it....dang! Too bad I'm such an honest individual!

I have always had the highest admiration for your abmirable honesty which is to be admired..getting my drift, Ronna.... And I can vouch for 'hot and sunny'. Thing is, the air conditioning almost freezes you to pieces. As well as being cool at night, the coast is also beautiful. I hope you get to go, Dawn.
