Woot for this major publicity And Fi- I LOVELOVELOVE your icon! Mine is just the red one on B's forums. Also, I tried to add you on MySpace but you didn't know my email or name so it wouldn't be of any use. The userpic is just a dog's nose though :

It's 20 after 1 and it's STILL not on. Is this radio thing for real?

I was getting slightly concerned, too!! It's on now.
-
sooo guys, what did you think about the radio show??
-
He only answered about 4 questions. So I was kind of let down. But I loved the Vinyl acoustic and when there's a chance to hear his voice, I'll never turn that down
-
It was cool. I LOVED the little anecdotes..especially the one about Paul insisting the plane kept flying until the impromptu party was over!! There was a little section about the background to Roses...the Bush perspective on how things are going for him. Also a bit about the Dirt Brothers! Brian talked affectionately about Etta and how she came to sing on the album. The interviewer asked him about his surfing after seeing the photo on the website [ ]. He talked about Rusty and Abe and how he came to know them and work with them. I have read that before but it was nice to hear Brian actually talking about it. Throughout the interview, Brian gave indepth answers and they were really interesting. Brian always gives entertaining and thoughtful answers. I look forward to Part 2. Songs featured [if my memory serves me correctly!!!] were: If You're Leaving Me Coming Up Roses Soft Machine Catbox Beach from Rusty's Undressing Underwater [Brian plays bass on that song] And - a FANTASTIC version of Vinyl unplugged. I hope there are more unpluggeds [if there's such a word] in Part 2. I hope you all get to hear it.

I listened in and thought it was a great show! The solo unplugged version of Vinyl was the highlight. It was hard to imagine how that song would sound performed acoustically as the album version is such a rocker, but it sounded really great! Brian came over really well in the interview, too. I'm looking forward to hearing part 2 next week.

Yes, I agree. I was trying to imagine which other ones would sound great unplugged. We were so amazed at how fab UU was [almost] unplugged...I wonder if Brian will ever do the same with MM. I think Anywhere But Home would sound good. We'll just have to wait and see if he does any more like that in Part 2.
-
The Brian part was awesome, but I was getting so exasperated listening, and after EVERY question another song pops up! I guess I was just spoiled by the MaccaRadio interview, y'know? :

LOL! Go to http://www.radio.jimmydreamz.com, on the left hand side it says listen, then you click that and then the play button. It downloads it onto your computer. At least it did for me (I've got a Mac).

I SAW BRIAN RAY TODAY!! It was actually the most exciting thing. I was feeling so depressed about the concert being over, and then BAM there he is crossing the street. And he saw me hyperventilating before he ducked into the Urth Cafe. I wanted to go inside (since I had just been there an hour ago), but I couldn't unfortunately. Which is just as well, since I would have made a total fool of myself. BUT YAY I SAW BRIAN RAY TODAY!!

what a great surprise, huh? Nice that you got to see Brian again, but also nice that you didn't bother him...I'm sure he appreciates being able to spend his free time with a bit of breathing room...I know I'd hate it if someone was bothering me when i was hanging out with friends in my own little bubble, ya know what i mean?! Cool, nonetheless!

Brian's latest newsletter: My Dear Friends, Thank you ALL for your kind words and great messages after my show was cancelled due to a sudden outbreak of the Ebola virus. [Kidding!].. It was just a naughty stomach flu. Hey, guess what? I'll be doing a make-up show at the Viper Room on January 3rd!! 8:00 again, for those who want to give me another chance to steal their hearts. I will be announcing a few special guests on the bill with me as well, just as soon as it's all confirmed. The club has asked me to put the evening together as I like. I WILL be there, rain or shine, flu or not, singing and playing for your pleasure... Come one, come all, come on. Brian ************************************ Newsflash.. for those who wanna rock. On the bill with me at my Viper Room date on January 3rd will be the fabulous Dirty Knobs. This is one of my favorite bands of all time, led by the great Mike Campbell, of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Show times and 2nd special guest to be announced. Stay tuned, Brian
