Brian and the band sounded great with Paul last night on Jools Holland's show ! It was so nice to see them all playing together again . They played "Dance Tonight " I Got A Feeling " "Only Mama Knows " and finished with " Lady Madonna" with Jools Holland joining them on piano.

Brian's lastest Blog ....... Tuesday, June 12, 2007 The Secret Show in London Ok, so we pulled it off! Paul McCartney did a secret show in London at the Electric Ballroom in Camden! 1,000 people won tickets through various radio stations and some wristbands were available at the window as well... During the rehearsal and soundcheck we were all squished together onstage using 1/2 the gear we would usually use, but the sound was really great and punchy. Paul was in a good mood and I had the feeling the show was gonna be great. Showtime.... at 8:45 we came downstairs and entered the stage from behind to roars and screams of an amazing crowd and launched into Drive My Car.. the sounds was tight and fat and Paul was in fine form. It seemed that the crowd, being RIGHT THERE drives him into instant club memory mode and the last 40 years just disappeared! I really got the feeling of how electric it must have felt in the clubs of Hamburg and Liverpool. He was singing great all night and was very very pleased with the best crowd and a perfect atmosphere. After "I've Got A Feeling" he started jamming, we all fell in and we did a fast spontaneous jam version of "Feeling" which went on for minutes! That was so fun. The new songs seem to fit in SO well, too.. Man, he is on a roll! After Hey Jude, the crowd kept singin' the "na na's" and we heard it from the dressing rooms, so Paul led us back onto the stage where we joined the crown for a reprise! hahaha, what a night.. great energy between us all in the band, good communication and eye contact and good humour. After the show security led us all across the street to the Mango Room, where we were joined by some of Paul's friends and family. Jeff Beck, David Gilmour, Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Harrison, Barbara Orbison, Kate Moss and Stella, Mary and James were all there hoisting glasses and joining in. It was a big treat to hang out with Jeff Beck, who is my biggest guitar hero!! Some nights I will never forget. Stay tuned, ok? Love, Brian Here's our setlist [which he kept adding songs to! it started as a 12 song set!] Drive My Car Only Mama Knows Dance Tonight C Moon The Long And Winding Road I'll Follow The Sun Calico Skies That Was Me Blackbird Here Today Back In The USSR Nod Your Head House Of Wax I've Got A Feeling Matchbox Get Back Hey Jude ENCORE Let It Be Lady Madonna I Saw Her Standing There

Hey Dawn DITTO!
I'm gonna Hope & Wish & Pray
*I jokingly refer to Sir Paul as the messenger, In my house house I get teased about my fondess of LP Paul's & YOUR music, I play both you guys so much along with my 2nd fav boys_( ma's bros Aerosmith_ )That's all I play!! However, I already a have God.. I am going to just keep faith on my lucky number, then I can write & tell Paul a LONG story about the Summer of 72! JUST KIDDING! Meantime I know this is the hands of the Lord! Praying is a healthy thing ( But cha gotta admit Paul has had some pretty darn good & right on litlle messages over the years EY?) You funny Guys YOU! & I had it right there in B&W in front of me..I needed perhaps the simple leisure time to listen& not look for anything, as that's how I usually get it, and then I think HEEEE that was a good one! Like today, driving in my car & listening to Ever Present Past..with that what sounded to me like a Beach Boyish flavour! Maybe a subtle OR NOT sorta Hello BW. How's it? Mind you I am posting before I research that! Funny thing how much you can hear all the notes, in all the songs, YOUR BASS, & Paul playing with('') whatever---& everything.. when in your car, vs the Dennon! Perhaps This Girl, should have just sat in her CAAA! You guys told me, I just had to listen not so closely..But HEY, I am Mom, and listening to" the between line"s now, is what I do! So there you go! ****In any event Brian we'll be there in spirit & proud to know one of the good guys is is having a good time with all his mates, and his TURF no less ***** Break A leg Brian Just DON"T BREAK AN ARM?? : LOL jet (sugffinonmenees424 ) I hope EVERYONE that wins the drawing enjoys themselves tomorrow! WORD!

Brian's new blog ............. Thursday, June 28, 2007 Amoeba Category: Music Before I forget anything about last night... There are some things you know you'll never forget... some of them are just seared into your soul somehow... when the mood is just so, the humidity, just right.. the mood, electric... the crowd ecstatic.. I just played a free show at Amoeba Records with Paul McCartney last night and it was just such a night.. The sun hadn't even gone down when we hit the stage at 8 pm... No big lighting truss, no show-biz, just some white lights.. that's right, a tiny stage in a record store, the band, shoulder to shoulder.. playing to a crowd, many of whom had waited for 3 days since news of the show broke out on Monday. People lined Sunset Blvd. outside, to hear what they could and sing along to the music pouring out of the cracks in the doors. The record racks?? Yeah, they weren't moved an inch for the show.. so they let in 30 people at a time to robust, respectful applause from the great Amoeba staff [family, I mean]. So, the people who waited longest were given the best spaces in the 'rock' section right in front of us. Paul was in ROCKIN' good form... I always get this feeling at these secret shows that he just drops right into the same boots he wore when he was playing 5 sets a night, 350 days a year in his early days... some kind of musical muscle memory.. He's on FIRE!! He's a man of the people.. He played and sang with ripping, reckless abandon.. And for all of you musicians out there, keep in mind... he hasn't changed the KEY of a single song since he wrote them 45 years ago. His new songs feel hot, sturdy and strong next to his others. And yes, it was a joy to look out there and see Ringo, in his requisite shades, beaming ear to ear and nodding in approval. Olivia Harrison, Barbara Orbison, Joe Walsh, Jeff Lynne.. So sweet to see this 'family' gather round... these are the days. It was a joy and a thrill and I was privileged to see the real spirit of music alive and very well, in a parallel reality from the music BUSINESS, from the perspective that one gets while playing with a guy who IS music.. he lives, breathes and sleeps melody... In a store that is the KING of record stores in the WORLD, with the best staff, for an audience of the best people, who waited and poured out love and were rewarded.. Thanks for the best night, Brian Ray

I made it to the secret gig, i don't think any words could describe the vibes there last night! Brian says it well though. Yes the interview from Paul was a collectors edition, but i opened it so now is it still a collectors? I wanted to get it signed by Paul but couldn't get close enough! I was in the row behind Ringo, Barb, Olivia and Jeff {genius} Mr. blue skies. It really couldn't have been any better, what can I say life is great S~
