NYC Paul fan:
I'm sure he realizes he's in a rather elite, but incredibly important group for the future of the world... pioneering establishment of world peace. If half the money spent on studying war were given to peace experiments like his, we'd have it licked.
I just don't really understand what Brian and war have in common. He is one of the most pro peace guys I know. So is Paul and the whole "My Band". I'm sorry for my post but this thread is Brian's thread and we should mostly stick to the subject. ops:
NYC Paul fan:
I'm sorry you misunderstood my post and that I responded to Dawn's post. You won't hear from me again.
Kimsey:
I'm sorry, I wasn't sure if I understood it right or not.
Brian's had the chance to play in some amazing places , who would have thought that he and the band would have been playing with Paul in Red Square ! a few years ago . And i'm sure that the same is true of the upcoming show in Israel !! Music has that amazing ability to bring people together , no matter what their religion or beliefs. And i'm sure that when the concert starts ... for a brief moment in time .... all that will matter , is the music . Can you imagine ! the reaction in the audience if Paul plays ...Give Peace a Chance ! Paul has called this show , the '' Friendship First '' concert , and that's what it should be all about . I'm sure it'll be a ''Beautiful Night '' [ i love that song !! ] Peace ??

Okay, I'm sorry for the confusion I have caused here..........I did understand what Maggie said but did not understand why she said it and I meant no harm with my completely unnecessary comment...and I'm also a completely Peace&Love person.... however i know that i have made a complete idiot of myself with that comment... ops:

Only two weeks now until the show in Tel Aviv !!!! I bet it'll be a great night . Also ... I can't believe that it's been 7 years today since the 9/11 disaster ! It's still so sad though .

I agree completely with you, Maggie! There is way too much money spent on war and not nearly enough spent on true peace efforts! Hopefully, this show in Tel Aviv will make the world remember what real love and peace can achieve...just look what four guys from Liverpool started 40 years ago!!!

I'll certainly never forget that day! I guess I never truly understood what life is like in some other countries until that day.

Yeah, it was a classic wasn't it! It actually was my Birthday (hence my username!). My wife got me the tickets for the occasion as a special surprise. I thought we just had tickets to see Paul at Sheffield, but we got to go to Liverpool and see the show there too, plus do the Beatle sights on the MMT bus! Great birthday! I got to hear the soundcheck from our dockside hotel beforehand as well. Paul was in great form and it was clearly very moving for him playing in front of a home crowd. When he dedicated "Birthday" to anyone in the audience with a birthday, it made it even more special - he meant me of course!!! And we even got some songs that weren't even on the official set list (Maggie May, I Lost My Little Girl), so I went home very happy!
