It seems to have become an art form...in and of it's self. hundreds of years in the making
-
I still have to read the history of the game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chess
-
Chessology is a completely new and novel way to play chess! http://chessology.com/

Chess will probably evolve and transcend into the 3 tiered game we've seen in Star Trek...What highly refined version will our children's children's children be playing?
-
I think the future generation will still be playing the traditional chess. The one recognized by FIDE. Well, I don't know if they recognize other chess variants.

"There wasn?t any particular player I modeled my game after. I tried to learn from everyone and create my own style. I studied past players. Truth be told I never had a favorite player. It?s just not my nature to go around idolizing people. I just go try to learn." -Magnus Carlsen
-
I don't know why but I like holding an unlit cigarette while playing chess. I guess I am influenced by Emanuel Lasker even though my high school teacher had a habit of smoking, too, while playing.
-
Never mind losing a game. Each defeat should be a lesson learned. Just do what you have to do. Experience is a good teacher.
-
Material advantage means nothing when your king under tremendous pressure. Positional advantage always means advantage.
-
You may be a Titanic in chess but one hole can make sink. So be careful.

"Chess demands total concentration." -Bobby Fischer

Thanks for this jessie, I love Chess!
-
Thanks, mustangsally10. How long have you been playing chess? If there is/are any, who is/are your favorite player(s)?
-
I downloaded Bobby Fischer's games. I decided I wanna view his games from start up to the end of his career (1955-1992). I'll delete the simultaneous or exhibition games, of course.
-
I decided I won't view Bobby Fischer's games. I'm feeling lazy. The classic games in the Chessmaster 4000 Turbo program are enough.
-
My favorites players are Morphy, Fischer, Kasparov and Carlsen. I view their games randomly.
-
"I am not some sort of freak. I might be very good at chess but I'm just a normal person." -Magnus Carlsen
-
I think it is possible to checkmate an opposing king with a king and two knights but it is very unlikely to happen as the opposing king will just move around and will be very difficult to corner.

For me, chess is just a simple game. It's simple because I choose to make it simple. I just play for a draw game but I always wait for my opponent to make a mistake.
