Hi Everyone, We have a great oldies station, they do lots of Beatles songs the other night at work I heard 4 of them one I heard was Lucy in the Sky, they don't normally do that one so it was nice to hear something, and of course they take requests by email and I've been mentioned on the radio too. Welcome aboard Sherry

SherryO:
No kidding! Our oldies station does that too. We have one station here that does a Beatles Brunch on Sundays. It's pretty good.

I think that it is on the web. It's called Q107FM, here in Calgary. I think the website is www.q107fm.ca . Yep, the people here are friendly. I also like the pub thread. Just good clean fun.

I heard a version of George Harrison and Dave Stewart (of the Eurythmics) doing "this guitar can't keep from crying" (heard on a local Detroit station wcsx) it is suppose to be on Dave Stewarts web site or the Eurythmics site? I didn't check out to see if there was a site ... and I don't know if this version was a real recording with the two of them or if it was recorded by George and Dave put a guitar track to it recently.. it did sound good to hear George Harrison (and I know it is not the version of the song used on Extra Texture)
-
Yes CSX play alot of good classic songs, though I don't recall hearing that particular one, Chfffed! Was that a part of Alice Coopers program? Merry

Has anyone else here seen the Beatles tribute group, RAIN? If not, if you ever get to Nevada, where they're from, go see them!! They were here back in January, & I was blown away. Their slogan is "From Ed Sullivan to Abbey Road." I'll be darned if it ain't true!! They do have a website, I think it's www.raintribute.com. Check it out. They were amazing.
