Warning: I think this is my silliest post ever. (These words sound always silly anyway...). So maybe these thread, where all is possible can be the only recipient for it.... I think I'm in love! : : after all these years... and tears.. and fears... or at least it's a feeling I like.

I think this belongs here. Vanessa Amorosi (who? check!) singing Piece Of My Heart. Half imitating Janis Jopling and half with her style. Bloody amazing.

I'm most of the time, if not always in love with me. But that's nothing new. This time it's another kind of story, the old kind of story. Yes, when I'm in love I always have trouble.

Glad you had a good night ...Looks like you were right about Charlie .... QUOTE " Their dream of making soulful pop music with the purest, most honest sound had begun to take glorious shape. At which point Charlie was living with Mark, AKA Vincent Villain, - the singer of Vincent Vincent and the Villains. - and they were writing and performing together in various London pubs. After a time they formed the Villains and before they knew it things we're looking bright, although increased demand meant Charlie was missing appointments with both the Rumble Strips and the Villains. He was forced to choose. Walking away from both bands he went back to a full-time career of part-time decorating and sleeping on strange floors and in strange beds. " I am going watching the Nme tour tonight.......4 bands , including The Cribs
And the ting tings ( i am getting in early for these ) LOVE THAT -
next friday will be the next big label night of Problembär Records... we`ll be having 3 live-bands (one from sweden, two from austria), dj`s (one will be myself) and some silly show-elements (games and contests)... I hope it will be a success; we still haven`t done our "homework" (dispersing our flyers and posters)... but I think the promotion through myspace, radio and papers works quite good.

Glad you enjoyed it......i havnt heard that much by the others ( i will put that right ) Yes i enjoyed the NME tour esp . the cribs and The ting tings. Johnny Marr came on with the cribs ( see Johnny Marr thread ) , so i was made up Joe Lean and the jing jang jong were ok , as were 'does it offend you ? yeah'.....but not really MY cup of tea. They went down well though.

No, I don't think so. I'll explain later. Okey, a computer keyboard, not a... piano keyboard. (I call them "Pianos" even though they're not acoustic like electric guitars are guitars anyway...). I think most of the time, in the most of the records, the piano or the keyboard is soul-less, is not the instrument, it seems that's the way is got to be or so, probably influenced for classical music piano. When I thinkof playing piano sometimes I think of guitar players. The guitar was kind of soul-less too before Hendrix. : How many times have you played "air piano" :lol.... that's what I mean... I've been all my life playing but I don't like much any famous piano player... asked bout musicians I'd name a lot of guitar players instead. Yeah, Elton is fine, Billy Joel it's fine, Roy Bittan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Spike Edney, Lake, but they do the same thing over and over... I mean I have never tried to sound like any piano player cause I don't like how piano is used in rock and roll music. Maybe only Elton escapes, and when he sounds you know it's Elton who plays, cause is one of the few that put himself into the piano sound. But when it's Hendrix, you know it's Hendrix, as with all the great guitar players that not just follow the beat in a cold way or so.

Sounds great Stefff. I sent to my mother one of the compilations. She LOVED it. She likes Angelika Haas, Neuschnee and Slon A LOT!!! She visited the website and she loved it. I wonder what happened to your myspace
-
ah thanks. SLON is the band of my best mate and label-co-owner andrei (I used to be the first bass-player in SLON, but it`s not really "my" type of music, so I quit... but they`re good in whatever it is that they are doing; they have many fans already)... Neuschnee is another "big" act of the label; Angelika Haas is pregnant; she'll be mother in a few weeks, so we'll have to see if she still finds enough time for doing music; but I think in the next couple of months; her baby will be number one priority on her list. That's fine. I deleted my myspace; I had problems with someone (she`s a bit of a psycho... it`s a long and complicated story... but she's a notorious liar and she has issues with so many of my people that I had to get away from her... she`s got a bit of a "yoko ono"-attitidude in the sense that her favourite hobby is to make befriended men fight ) now my sublabel-page 21st Recordings is something like the stefan-myspace. the label-night yesterday was a mega-success... I think it was the biggest thing in vienna yesterday; lots of "Important" people from the indie-scene were there and the club was so full that at the end we couldn`t let any more people in anymore (and we made lots of money... I think about the first time the label got more money out of something than we had to put into ). I even played a Ringo-song while I was dj`ing ("Back Off Boogaloo")
