I'm off to finish the lyrics. Well I'll try. Or I'll try to try. Or I'll try to try to try or so.
Good luck trying. Or trying to try. Or trying to try to try or so.

Yeah, that's gonna be a problem.

Just popping in for a quick "hey, y'all", as I have a nasty case of food poisoning from which I (hope) am recovering. We went to dinner last night and a few hours later, I knew I was in 'trouble'. ....didn't sleep a wink all night (which is even worse than my usual couple of hours of sleep and that's probably all of the 'detail' you care to know about. Anyway, I am finally feeling 'half-human' today, and will be spending the rest of the day taking it very easy. I'll be back later to catch up....hopefully today. Hope everyone else is well.
Well, hope you get better, well, you're already getting better so it looks at it will pass away soon. it seems this is becoming very usual these days here too. It's not hard to go out to dinner and to end with a little stomach ache or something worse. I don't know if they use worse products or so, now, coming from strange source or transgenic stuff or whatever. But there are many places where is not very safe to eat.
It may be my own fault. : The restaurant had a special prime rib dinner, and I like my steak very, very 'rare' (i.e., red, red, red....cool center, or "almost still mooing" : , as my vegetarian daughter likes to say : :lol, meaning it's very possible that it wasn't cooked long enough to prevent getting sick. Of course it could also have been something else on the plate. Oh well...all's fine now, so it's cool.

Hey Christy! Hope you're feeling better. I had some mild case of food poisoning in China after we had eaten a Korean barbecue/grill thingie and looking back on it, all I can think is that meat maybe wasn't thoroughly cooked. Anyway, I felt absolutely BAD that night, and yep, I can so imagine the "details" we don't want to know you're talking about. If it makes you feel any better, I also didn't sleep very well last night. Sean and I both have a cold, and Sean starts snoring loudly when he has one. : I couldn't sleep at all, so out of misery I took my sheets and pillows at 3.30am and went to sleep in the other room.
Snoring is a major problem in our house too, and not just with a cold (and no, Tina, it's not ME that snores, as you should well know, having slept with my husband ). H0pe you finally got some sleep!

Wishing you recover soon Christy. Are you the only one who got sick after eating this dinner?
Thanks Mieke...no, we all had something different from the menu. Only I got "lucky". :

Two doctors opened an office in a small town and put up a sign reading "Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones, Psychiatry and Proctology." The town council was not happy with the sign, so the doctors changed it to "Hysterias and Posteriors." This was not acceptable either, so in an effort to satisfy the council they changed the sign to "Schizoids and Hemorrhoids." No go. Next, they tried "Catatonics and High Colonics." Thumbs down again. Then came "Manic Depressives and Anal Retentives." Still not good. Another attempt resulted in "Minds and Behinds." Unacceptable again. So they tried "Lost Souls and Ass Holes." No way. "Analysis and Anal Cysts?" Nope. "Nuts and Butts?" Uh uh. "Freaks and Cheeks?" Still no go . "Loons and Moons?" Forget it. Almost at their wit's end, the doctors finally came up with: "Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones, Odds and Ends." And they loved it.

She would be the perfect VP! http://foreveramber.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/2008/05/06/scarlett_johansson_2.jpg
but could you do some kind of government work with her at your side?
The usual kind. :

Hey Oliver! Is it that you don't get what a "studmuffin" is? If so, it's just a nickname for a "sexy guy"
I didn't know it either, new vocabulary.
That's what happens when you start hangin' out with wacko Americans.
, which Svenn obviously is, don't you agree?
well I'm a man, what can I say? everything I say can and will be hold against me

Hey Stefan! Yeah, he's got my vote, too. Hell, I was even hoping for a VP nomination but I see Svenn already found 'someone else'. : Hmmm.....but he's gonna need a campaign manager, ya know? And often they end up with cabinet positions. I can be his Secretary of the Interior, or perhaps he can create a new cabinet position for me....maybe Secretary of "Domestic Relations" (gotta get Kate's permission first ;)).

Yeah, you should at least have one of those "buy one, get one free" things or something. Or a "buy 9 concert tickets and the 10th one's free" card that they can punch little holes in. Maybe even extra frequent flyer miles, too. So, are you that big a fan of his, or have you just happened to be in the right places at the right times? I confess I don't know his work ops: (blasphemy here in the Supernova probably ops, but I'll check it out today. EDITED: Hey Moggy, your avatar cracks me up. Is that photoshopped, or is it a frame from the new movie "W" perhaps? :

I got the bush photo off photobucket, i could not resist it. Weller tours quite regularly....not always big tours , but once twice a year. He nearly always plays a couple in Manchester or Blackpool, and i have travelled to other places to see him ( Paris, Halifax, London, deeside, a place near scarborough, wolverhampton, stafford, glastonbury,....i think thats it !) Like Macca , weller as had three stages to his career THE JAM
THE STYLE COUNCIL AND SOLO AND WITH THAT MCCARTNEY FELLER Hes massive in Britain ( approx 60-70 hit singles , which hes wrote putting him behind very few ...Macca , elton and bowie i think ) , Japan and other places. He has a good live following in the US , but i THINK hes only had one hit (everchanging moods) Many young bands hold him up as a major influence including Oasis, Arctic monkeys , the enemy , the courteeners and of course the rifles. -

I wish that related to me somehow.... Those are some GORGEOUS homes! My youngest LOVES NYC....I mean, LOVES it. This weekend, she was reading some real estate ads for apartments in NY. They were mostly penthouse apartments.....some of them covering 2 full floors, some with 24oo square foot terraces, most have 4-5 bedroom and 4-5 full baths, fireplaces that open to two rooms, etc. And get this........they were listed as "only" $4-21 MILLION.
I've never even been to New York and I love it as well....If I ever had a dream, that would be it. Live in NYC for a certain amount of time. Oh, to win the lottery....

The lead story was about a local family with 5 daughters, 3 of which have breast cancer , and another one who had a preventative double mastectomy. The youngest of the five is "being closely monitored" also. And get this......the cancer gene that affects this family so horrendously...........comes from their father.
My aunt who is married to my uncle (my father's brother) had two sisters, both of whom died of breast cancer, yet my aunt is refusing to get a mammography. I can't believe people can be so stupid even though it's clear that it's in their genes.
