And another thing..I don't see guys holding up the sign asking for a tattoo at these shows either.
There have been guys onstage to sing with him (twin voice in Mexico) & another younger boy dancing...where was that? I just saw a utube & someone wanted to play the drums in SoAmerica.
Yeah he a brought a little boy up on stage in Nashville during Get Back...
I recorded that moment on my cell-phone. I watched it recently and had completely forgotten that I said to my friends: "That kid has NO idea how f*cking lucky he is."
-
BarbB:
And you can't use the excuse that Paul only picks the ones up front, because one lady was on the side section and aakiboh was in section 4 I think?
Yep, section 4 row 5...and there were plenty of people way up front with tattoo signs. Although I have to admit I stand out like a sore thumb at a Paul concert No complaints though, it seems to have worked to my advantage!

Tell me about it.

I wish he would bring back that extended, mechanical arm that pans the audience. He used it on The New World Tour in 1993. It's what Tina Turner uses a lot on her tours.

"Let Me Roll It" 1993. Only he and Robbie McIntosh got on the mechanical arm for this tune:
He and the whole band got on it for the sing-along portion of "Hey Jude" on that tour, as well: Great footage. -

He should stagedive from it

He would, but he's afraid of landing in the mosh pits that always seem to form in the first several rows of his shows.

Hehe. I'm there with arms wide open to catch him

Not to brag, but I saw it live in person.

Audi, you are so lucky. I'm waiting for Paul to fly out over the audience, Off The Ground style.
-
Now THAT would be cool!
-
Oh yeah..can't you see it. The lights go down, you hear music, you hear Paul..but where is he? OMG. A spotlight shines, and that crazy mofo is suspended over the audience gliding to the stage.

Hey, if Michael Jackson could end his concerts via jet-pack, certainly Paul could do some wire-pulling air-tricks.
-
Maybe when we get our all-solo/Wings show, he could do "Off The Ground" and give us a thrill with such a thing. Either "Off The Ground" or "Hanglide" (which is a "Spies Like Us" 12" single B-side).

[quote="BarbB"]And another thing..I don't see guys holding up the sign asking for a tattoo at these shows either. That's true. I really wasn't into getting a tatoo, so when my son and I were called up to the stage by Paul during the Philly soundcheck, we were thrilled to meet him and get our shirts signed. What Paul has been doing for his fans on this tour is truly amazing!!

You can be sure you're in the minority, but did you have a poster and ask, assuming you've been to any recent shows?
I don't make assumptions that I am in the minority. That is your assumption. I was at four shows since last summer (as shown in my signature) and only close enough for a sign to be seen at one and he didn't sign any body parts at that one. You also have to have the bucks to be down close and I can't do that very often. I was close enough in Denver and he didn't even mention signs and they were there and I had mine.
