Beautiful World

Yes, I was up there but I seem to remember that maybe there was another, wider area right before that area in the pic. I have some pics somewhere but I would never be able to find them. Beautiful Nat'l Park. It always makes me cry because it makes me feel so insignificant.
I'm impressed, not sure that I would be so brave. You are not insignificant

That is amazing Here's a video of the climb! Not sure if I could make it to the top!!
Coming down has to be worse...oh my knees are hurting, watching that!! -

I've always wanted to hike this one...I've seen gorgeous photos of the colors of the rocks. Unfortunately, I also watched a few of the flash floods spring out of nowhere in those narrows Whole groups of people washed away!!! Yikes... Found a video of my fun hike, done in my early 20's...got up at 5AM...the boulder field was jumping from boulder to boulder. You had to follow the red and yellow flowers. Being young definitely recommended... They warn you of getting struck by ball lightning in the afternoon, so you have to get off the top part, by late afternoon. Warning...you might want to turn the music down...it's loud
It was so much fun to watch and re-live that day, memories just flood back Back then I had 3 rolls of 27 slides each, film and my dad's Canon camera. How nice that you can go pro, or video the whole thing today!!! -
Yes being younger most definitely helps. But I don't think I'd like to have video taped it because you can't really watch where you're going then! I always had my trusting Nikon (like Linda McCartney's) along with me.

. I was watching videos of the two parks you hiked, they say that the Angel's Landing has been one of the most dangerous hikes... Thanks for sharing that one...the Narrows looked a lot less strenuous. Do you have to get all wet on that one, do you know? Or does it dry out in the summer? I know what you mean about feeling insignificant. I can remember riding through the mountains, in Colorado...on the back of a motorcycle....the beauty and grandeur all around. I remember thinking of God, the creator, of such beauty...it does make you feel so small, in the immensity of it all...

Those are at the same park in southern Utah. Zion. No, you don't need to get entirely wet. Especially depending on the time of the year & the amount of snowfall or rain that is coming down into the canyon. When we were at the narrows I don't think we had water much higher than our thighs maybe. I need to find some of the more current pics I have. We've been there many times & I just love it there...though now I think there may be too many memories to actually be there.

No, that's ok. I meant actually being there at the park because it is just so beautiful in person. What is that quick way to post a pic? imgur? Was there another? I don't want to mess with having them on my drive or putting them "somewhere". I'll try imgur. oh...maybe postimage?

That's the big struggle with travel. How much do you photograph versus just sit back and enjoy?

I'm afraid that I photograph EVERYTHING ops: every time I look at the photo, after that...I can remember, go back to that moment... I Cary 32 K chips with me to record it all. You can put a Go Pro attached to your body and set it on record. Many of these youTubes show that. How cool to be able to watch the whole hike. Personally, I love it!!!

[quote="HaileyMcComet"][quote="love2travel"]With all of the Spring flowers, coming back to life... Are these jacaranda or wisteria? The first one is wisteria, the second one is cherry blossoms and the third one, is a beautifully fragrant flower called Laburnam. My previous neighbor had a small Laburnam tree with a glorious fragrance in the evenings...
