Does anyone BELIEVE that cleaning your house is therapeutic?

I've heard so many people say that. For me. Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Back when we were makin' the big bucks, before I went back and got so educated and then couldn't find a job doing what I know so much about, but I digress, I had someone clean my house every Friday and LOVED it. Anyone REALLY feel like, for you, cleaning your house is therapeutic?

What would be therapeutic to ME would be to NEVER have to clean my house again. Ever. I have a feeling that is NOT happening in this lifetime. Am I the only one who thinks this way

i think yes in a way for me i cant stand messy rooms so when its clean i feel alittle better

Yes, it's therapeutic! I cleaned my bathroom and shower up and bought a new shower mat last week and I feel a lot better!

I remember before the criminals destroyed our house, when it was a Home, I used to love cleaning things. And I had all my clothes ready to wear...everything in it's place. Now it is falling down and it sucks to look at it. No one should be allowed to destroy someone's Home, and I am after those losers right now! Maybe oneday I will have a Home again to clean.

I think home improvement is therapeutic. Whatever it is, I always try to see if I can do something myself, before hiring someone. - I LOVE figuring out "how to do stuff." Regarding cleaning; I do feel a sense of satisfaction when it's done, but not so much the process, itself.

Maybe if I do that I'll feel better? But the ones I have are perfectly all right. Well, why not. I need new towels, too. Took me all afternoon to clean my bathroom yesterday. Hey Boggle, thanks for understanding!!!! The THING is, my in-laws, who have weekly cleaners, always think it would be nothing for me to host Christmas or Thanksgiving or Easter. Riiiiiiiiiiiight. They have no idea.

I'll just say this..I had a good nights sleep and I'm feeling really good for once. So, no, I'm just ready and willing. There are things I have put off and need to get done. Like , I started already by deliming the kitchen sink. Here in this place we have really bad water. What I'm tring to say..sometimes..it is just what it is.

That's what I'm going to start doing. Make an appt. with myself to clean my house. Put on Beatles' or Paul Mc music. And rock on. Do you do yours on Sat.? That just seems so wrong. But, I'm too tired to do it after work, so I HAVE to do it on Sat. I'm very organized, but hate to vacuum and dust. But I will if we are having guests. I know I should do it FOR ME, but can't seem to make myself do it every week. If people are coming over, I have a deadline. I'm all about deadlines
