What makes you smile?

My niece was telling me yesterday that her church group puts together various items to send overseas to needy kids. She rounds up shoe boxes to put the stuff in. Last year they sent 35 shoe boxes full of things. She was telling me that they had even more to send this year. It made my eyes tear up. https://www.samaritanspurse.org/

What makes me smile? Got DVD of Let It Be from Germany today (also the soundtrack CD) and watched it. Parts still make me smile: Paul hamming it up during Besame Mucho, George helping Ringo with Octopus's Garden, Ringo acting startled when Heather bangs on his cymbal, John & Yoko waltzing to I Me Mine - so many moments. The only "tense" part was between Paul & George and even that wasn't that bad! I counted at least 7 people in the movie who are no longer with us. Was Neil Aspinall seen? If so, he was #8.

Glad I am 100% drug and alcohol free. Even prescription medications... Life is much more clear when you're not under the influence and into REALITY.ð???
But some prescription meds are necessary and don't alter your reality! I take Atenolol for premature atrial contractions (heart arrhythmia) and Alendronate Sodium to prevent osteoporosis.
Yes, I should have been more specific. I meant by prescription drugs, as in not abusing them, as in recreational or dependence oriented. For example pain medications, etc... I feel so much better. Just because a doctor prescribes something doesn't mean it is good for you. Just be vigilant and educated and don't get dependent on drug.ð???
That's a great warning Kittay!! I can't believe that my doctor prescribed me a strong pain killer that's addicting!! I only complained of a little pain! I ripped it up as soon as I left and bought liquid Advils. Not going to chance it, it's sooo addicting. My niece lost her life with something similar. I miss her every day!! Know of too many young kids in a good neighborhood and school system, dying like this or going to heroin... Then dying. The heartbreak is so painful for everyone! My niece had an intervention, got clean, and then moved, but met up with old friends. So tragic!! Her sister can not get over it and I think she blames herself! What a burden for a young girl.

I've seen the Paul/George argument. It's pretty tame. Especially for rock stars.

I have so many different versions of Let It Be including on Blu-Ray that I'm just looking for the ultimate picture and sound quality available. I heard that the German version was really good so I have to get one. Thanks for the info Nancy.

So cool of your daughter... Diana was a brilliant, beautiful role model, who had a can do attitude, and was not afraid to push boundaries for great things that she believed in! . Her children turned out so beautifully, didn't they? She would be so proud of them May her memory go on and on...
