Food inflation seen back on the table as prices rise Wed Apr 4, 2012 6:01pm EDT * Strong correlation with high oil price MILAN, April 5 (Reuters) - World food prices are likely to rise for a third successive month in March, and could gain further beyond that, with expensive oil and chronically low stocks of some key grains putting food inflation firmly back on the economic agenda. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/04/04/food-fao-idUSL6E8F42J520120404
and prices keep rising...because some people think...that high income people...shouldn't pay the same percentage of tax...as all other...working people do...who...made all this money...for...high income people...to begin with easy...isn't it?
Increasing taxes is an governmental, inflationary move. It does nothing to bring prices down (it's only hot air - it's never worked)
All forms of price increases are inflationary,Andy. It's just that wages are much much slower to catch up. And, for the lower paid members of the workforce...it is a constant struggle to make ends meet. The relative buying power of low paid working people was at it's best in the late 1960's and has steadily dropped ever since. http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0774473.html Why don't we just give all of everyone's money to the rich...and make the republicans happy?
Exactly!
Agree with yourself much?

High Oil Prices Are Killing Gas Stations By Matthew Yglesias April 12, 2012, at 2:30 PM ET It turns out that gas stations don't actually make much money selling gasoline, since it's an undifferentiated commodity sold in a competitive market. co_mplete article:_ http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2012/04/12/high_oil_prices_are_killing_gas_stations.html

Years and years ago .... I worked at a Gas station .... People would come in and tell me off .... as if I decided to raise the price to put money in my pocket ..... the place at that time was a repair place too .... Not much was ever made on the gasoline ..... it was there with a small margin of to pay all the bills and to possibly bring people in to get work done on their cars ..... the owners that I knew opened car repair business(s) without the gasoline and they don't miss it one bit .... To this day I do not blame the owners of these places for the prices .... the oil company will also call and set the price at your place .... if you don't match it .... the loss is all yours.

My Grandparents ran a Conoco gas station when I was a young boy. My Grandmother would pump gas...clean your windshield...and check your oil. My Grandfather fixed radiators and did mechanical work in the 2 garage stalls ...those were the days my friend!

I know that type of place ...... at that time .... there were more full service places .... check the oil, and the fluids, clean the windshield, check the tires etc .... then to keep up with changes ..... there was the combination of full serve and self serve .... then they said to the owner .... we are making this a convenience store with gasoline .... and we are going to level the place ..... nice knowing you .... but it turned into a blessing in disguise ..... after some time ... they got their regular customers back at a location close to that area

It's dropped down to 4.35 here. Why aren't all busses, municipal vehicles, school buses, garbage trucks, etc ordered to be on natgas?
-
from 3.63 to 3.59 for ethanol enhanced regular $2.50 a gallon would be far more cost effective...we don't have to change anything...outside of cutting the price/how much we pay for it...in half! ...buy $20.00 "worth" of gasoline...walk into the gas station...and give them $10.00 for it ...and tell them that it is time for the "oil barons"...to..."suck it up"...

I'm glad that I don't own a 747 and needed gasoline ...... watching the pump turn and turn until it reached $254,000.00 would freak me out But then so does the capacity of the fuel ..... 63,5000 gallons

...and jet grade fuel is more expensive than the diesel fuel that we use in most big trucks...and the gasoline that we use in most cars and motorcycles
