I am probably going to take a long lunch today. I will go to lunch in the Winter and return from lunch in the Spring. (Yet I will take the same amount of time that I usually do).

I wish it felt a little more like spring. There is a wind chill in the 20s.

I saw that twice on the news today. Very sweet.

That's right, Haley McComet, all that may have been only a series of coincidences, or most of it. I guess I sailed off on a ludicrous ego trip to idiotsville and am just a dumb bunny. Or not. I'd rather know the truth than dwell in illusion, but I guess Greta Gerwig won't enlighten me, LOL. Or the makers of that Elizabeth Banks movie or "I Wanna Marry Harry," LOL

Yes...That IS very sweet! I learned the sign alphabet from my girlfriend of the time when I was 16. I taught it to my oldest daughter when she was 7. She memorized it in 2 days. She has used it several times in her work to help deaf mutes find housing. Thumbs up to everyone involved with the video!!!Â

I haven't been here in quite awhile because i haven't been getting any notifications at all from any of the boards here. But the main reason I haven't been here is because in mid-Feb., I had to rush my husband to ER. Stubborn man had chest pains all day & could hardly breathe & waited til late in the day to finally go to ER. He was told that his chance of survival was only 50% at that point. Long story short, he was transferred to another div. of the hosp, as they had a better trauma unit. He was in the hosp a total of 10 days - several of them in ICU. He's doing better now & taking everything much more seriously. The doctors discovered by accident that he has an aortic aneurysm, but it's currently small but needs to be monitored. If it grows, then he'll need surgery. We are just very blessed that we didn't lose him.
Life is very precious. Don't wait until it's too late - take care of yourselves & your loved ones.

That is major something to go through. Good thoughts for your husband's health and of course you too, take care.

In future generations, mankind will evolve and look back at the way we behave today and wonder how we could treat people with Down syndrome as if they are broken or defective. Our society will be considered as barbaric as those who bought and sold black people or burned women at the stake to control them.

Move to another country. The people who control the United States would rather you dwell in illusion than know the truth.

I'm glad your husband is ok. That's the main thing. A minor point is that it's kind of stupid to ignore chest pains. That's serious business. Also, not being able to breathe. That's the body saying, "Yo, dude. Pay attention. This ain't right."
No one has more than one body. Taking care of the one you have should be a top priority.

The Facebook backlash comprising various factors including an uproar over lack of privacy is eye-raising, amusing, harrowing when it involves Russian interferance and GOP interferance on behalf of garnering Trump votes and support, and "fake news." Zuckerberg under fire ! People should have known long again they were sacrificing privacy and anonymity. Stalkers and woman killers could be a potential threat in the worse cast scenarios...I'm avid about having fake names and bogus addresses, etc., all over the Net, not my real info, also when I get weird phone calls trying to find out personal things, I automatically either hang up or fire back erroneous fake replies and false info. I share my laptop with someone else, also,  have a housemate I allow to use mine and write on some of my sites I frequent as "me" as it amuses me to see what she comes up with. She's funny. I like to think I can be, too, that I could be a humor writer, or am one. I wonder how particular others here are about this subject and what ruses they resort to using, if they do.

This is kind of disturbing. Do other people post on this site under your name? Did you post this comment I'm quoting or was it someone else?
Facebook has always been an invasion of privacy, but everyone gets into it willingly. There's a guaranteed way to avoid it - don't create an account.
I'm a little curious about the "weird phone calls trying to find out personal things". How often does that happen? Is that a new thing? I remember dealing with telemarketers, but they just wanted to sell something.
