3 guys were stranded on a deserted island for years and years... by a stroke of luck they found a bottle with a genie in it ... they were given 3 wishes so they decided that each would have one wish. The first guy wished to go back to home, before he was stranded ... and proof he was gone. The second guy named his home before being stranded ... he made his wish ... proof... he was gone ... The third guy stood there ... thought for a long time ... I'm lonely, I really miss those guys, I Wish they were back here ... proof! They were back.
I know this is a joke and I'm overthinking it, but when I read this, I couldn't get past how selfish that last guy was. Imagine being in that situation, your wish takes you home and then his wish brings you right back.
But if any of them had simply been less selfish, the entire problem could have been solved. The first guy could have wished for all of them to be back home.
And yes, that would have been a terrible joke.
Hailey, good point!
There’s no place like home... There’s no place like home... There’s no place like home...
There's no place like home... There's no place like home... There's no place like home... Where's home?
Home is where the Heart is...

So, the royal wedding's coming up. Viewed footage of royal weddings today on cable TV starting with the current queen's parents through Charles/Di. That was where I stopped. They had one segment about Diana on a humanitarian trip to, I think, Somalia. She was so compassionate. It was taken a year before her death. I was struck by how much Harry looks like her.
So 4am ET for me Saturday morning. I watched Di's, Fergy's, Kate's, and now Meghan's.
Anyone else getting up early to watch?
-
I'm not getting up early just to watch but I will have it on during my breakfast.
-
Good idea. They'll run the best parts 25,000 times anyway.
-
If I want to punish myself like a self time out, maybe I did something that I don't feel like something I expect out of myself ...a mistake or a wrong action, bad choice... Then I may sentence myself to having to watch it ( The Wedding)...
You know I'm going to try and be good... so I can sleep in as a reward for good behavior.

I caught it during a replay. No way my body was going to let me get up at 2AM my time to watch! It was a lovely ceremony.

I woke up around dawn, 20 minutes before they said their vows and watched for a couple hours after that. I was thinking a lot at the time, about how incredibly happy and proud that Diana must be to have Kate and Meghan as Daughter's In Law... and Daughter's In Love!

Really, right? Everything is different here now. I can barely remember how we saw the page before. Did we automatically see the last post? And thusly be able to see the page & count the posts?
And I guess since we haven't had one...one is overdo...so...
BAM!
edit to add...I guess since you actually said it first, you should get it Fool.
