If only some people would wake up & realize just how precious and all too short life is. Love & Peace, Peace & Love.
If there was an island of like minded people, who believed in those things... If we all adopted alternative energy, to have more money for everyone

If I took the words back..... I'd never really know

If only they would quit shooting the wrong kids in the city. Boy...those gangs are really bad shots.

If those lousy pharmaceutical companies would only stop charging ridiculous amounts of money for drugs that only cost them pennies to make, people would be able to take better care of themselves.

It's criminal how much life saving meds cost here in the U.S. If the U.S. treated health care the way other industrialized countries do, we would all be much better off. But there are still so many in this country that insist that affordable medical care isn't a basic right to all in this country. Maybe one day it will happen here.

I agree with you 100%. I've gotten ill in the UK twice now, once with pneumonia and a second time with a horrible, deadly feeling, food poisoning before the Jeff Lynne ELO reunion in Hyde Park. Both times, I was taken in...much faster than Emergency room visit here in the US. I was very well treated, given lab tests, given medicine and even offered an " at home" visit with a doctor the following day... The cost 0$ just amazing. I could not believe it!!! There are 56 countries with better infant mortality rates, than in the US!!! https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2091rank.html

Yes...especially for sports players, movie stars & some music icons. When did those salaries get so high?

Mickey Mantle made $50,000 a year. Now, they are being paid 100 times that amount. Most working people can't afford to buy tickets anymore.

Amazing isn't it? There are a few rappers that were in jail & now make big bucks. Is that some kind of role model? Same thing with those high priced basketball shoes. Kids are stealing them & probably much worse around here in Chicago.

Here's a story for you. A few years ago, I was in a train crash. An honest to goodness train flipping off the rails and slamming into power lines crash. There were fire trucks, paramedics, police and news vans all over the place. The scene was chaos, panic, crying and a lot of people just sitting on the ground in shock. Fortunately, no one was killed. I went to the hospital in an ambulance, saw a few doctors, several nurses and had x-rays taken. The ER was pretty busy that day, but I got excellent care with doctors and nurses who did more than just look at my chart for 5 seconds and walk away. Some people had to spend the night, but I went home the same day. I left the hospital with a bag full of drugs after paying about US$5 for all the medical treatment and another US$5 for the drugs. My injuries were pretty mild, all things considered, but the $5 fee is standard. If you go in and out the same day, it always seems to be $5. In the United States, the ambulance ride alone would have been hundreds of dollars. In China, it's free. They think it's insane to make people pay for an ambulance ride. It's not exactly a joy ride. I don't know what the ER visit, doctors and x-rays would have cost in the US, but I bet it would be more than $5. In China - evil, heartless, communist China - healthcare is a basic human right.

Do they limit how many children a couple can have? Who did that? Do they have welfare? Unemployment? Taxes?

We have a bad habit of thinking we can take care of the whole world, yet we DON'T take care of our own people We need to stop interfering in every other country's mess and and fix our own. Thus saith moi.

1. Yes, with a million exemptions. 2. Song Jian and/or Deng Xiaoping, I think. 3. Yes. It's very good. 4. Of course. I think the only country without any official unemployment is North Korea. 5. Yes.

Thanks. It was really pretty mild, as far as train crashes go. The funny part is, now I think I'm immune to any future plane crashes. How likely is any one person in both a train and plane crash?

Yes, you get a pass on another disaster.
