Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours

I got SC for Memphis, but if he comes to Atlanta I'll get Gold VIP!

A sort-of rumor.... Looks like Orlando will be getting a 2nd show on Sunday, May 19. There is a parking pass sale on Ticketmaster for it: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/22004A88C18A45AB I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it becomes 'official'....
GREAT. Hmmm. Guess I'll keep open to this. Two nights in a row would make my life. Thanks for the unintentional reminder to buy Geico Garage parking. I did that for Trans-Siberian Orchestra and it is convenient and safe for you Amway-goers.

I did two Back to back in Detroit and that was really cool. That was when I did 4 in eight days...fun times.

http://blogs.sfweekly.com/shookdown/2013/04/outside_lands_2013_five_bands.php Looks like it won't be announced until Apr. 16 whether or not he will/will not be doing Outside Lands festival in San Francisco.
Outside Lands is releasing lineup clues on Instagram until then: http://instagram.com/outside_lands It's fun to guess, and if you have no idea who it is you can check the comments. So far they've posted photos for 2 bands - The Tallest Man On Earth and Chromatics. I'm sure they'll post bigger names closer to the announcement date.

I think the info in the article that was posted earlier in the thread from the El Paso Times is inaccurate. It claims that there will be 10 total U.S. gigs. It was also written BEFORE the Seattle date was announced, because it claims that will be no shows west of Austin. And, of course, we now know that there is going to be a show west of Austin. Still with me? If we still go by the article's count of 10 shows, we can add Indianapolis. We are 100% sure that is going to happen, which leaves 2 shows unannounced. And yes, the rumored NYC shows fit that bill perfectly. But, we are not counting Bonnaroo, nor are we counting the rumored Outside Lands gig, or the new rumor of San Diego, which puts the total amount of shows in the U.S. past 10.

Seems like there will be more than ten total U.S. dates, especially if Bonnaroo and Outside Lands are added in. On San Diego, which would be amazing... other than that article in the newspaper, what is the rumour? If that newspaper was playing down that they had a tip he was doing San Diego, they played it down really well, because a close inspection of that piece reveals there is no rumour of a current show mentioned. They ask a rhetorical question, sort of, if he could come to San Diego, but they don't indicate there is an actual show being negotiated. Seems like, unless there is another article, this one piece is not quite up to 'rumoured date' status. Unless the writer knows more than they are letting on... Indy is obviously happening, maybe Milwaukee, from the original rumoured list, NY and hopefully SF.

Good point about the San Diego "rumor." Like you said, it's more of a "well, it'd be cool if Paul played here. It's been 37 years" sort of thing. They do point out there is room to him to perform at either Qualcomm or Petco either before or after Seattle, so there's that, but, again, nothing concrete. Unless they are playing it way, way down.

I wonder what likely dates would be for Indy? I'm out of town May 30-June 3 and am paranoid it's going to be one of those days.
Any ideas? Hoping it's not in Aug....way too hot!!
-
Any rumors that he comes to Germany??!
-
Songkick deleted Minneapolis from 6 July. Indianapolis 16 July instead? That Timberlake /JayZ tour is playing Candlestick this summer so I wouldn't be surprised if Paul adds it. I bet the SF festival is a scratch. I'd bet yes on San Diego and no on New York, unless it's before Boston. Someone said a 2nd Orlando show is likely?

I would characterize it as a plea rather than a rumor.

Outside Lands (the SF festival) is announcing its artist lineup on April 16, according to their website.

Thanks for the update. Candlestick always made more sense to me than Outlands. After all, the tour press release claims he will be visiting places of importance to him.

agreed on Candlestick. I think the whole Outside Lands thing came about because they also do Bonnaroo, so people assumed he was signed up to do both festivals. http://festivalsnob.com/2013/04/03/rumor-paul-mccartney-red-hot-chili-peppers-and-phoenix-to-headline-outside-lands/ http://blog.sfgate.com/loaded/2013/04/06/outside-lands-festival-rumored-headliners-include-paul-mccartney-phoenix-red-hot-chili-peppers/

With all the evidence of Outside Lands, can't imagine Candlestick replacing it. The deal will be out by Tuesday I guess. Also: the little graphic tease for Outside Lands listed Aug. 9... while the sfblog folks write it is Aug.11...

Actually, now at the last.fm Outside Lands page, there is no more graphic of Paul... http://www.last.fm/festival/3454280+Outside+Lands+Music+-+Arts+Festival+2013 Could just be ramp-up to their official lineup announcement Tuesday, but interesting it's not there anymore.

Last.FM is like WikiPedia: any loony can add an event. (McCartney played in Mexico in October 2011? http://www.last.fm/event/1872506+Paul+McCartney+at+TBD+on+13+October+2011)) Not saying Outside Lands isn't going to happen...

Has anyone heard anything more about possible Toronto gig?
